Sleeping Ute RV Park & Campground

Park itself is not bad for a short stay. Casino is a waste, never saw anyone winning anything, so advise you keep your $$ in your pocket. Restaurant staff was rude. We went in to celebrate our 54 anniversary, as we approached the desk a very rude young female said you can't bring in any outside beverages. I said this little cup, half full, is not an outside beverage, YOUR company just gave it to us 30' away. Again we don't allow them. I said great then keep your dinner also because we won't be eating here. For the record we both would of had the prime rib plus sides and deserts. And we would if purchased coffee with our dinner. I guess the $1 worth of Pepsi they didn't sell was more important than the $90 + we would of spent in dinner. When I called the manager I was told that's our policy. Maybe they need to post a sign or hire someone with some sense of customer service to politely explain the policy rather than barking orders at a customer. I will not return again this was not our first time here, plenty of other campgrounds, most less expensive, to stay at.

This RV park is part of the Casino compound. I really enjoyed it and the people I met there. All of the camping spaces are drive through, no backing in. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate. The shower stall itself is extremely nice with a glass door and stone floors and walls. Shout out to Merlin for his awesome cleaning. The restaurant in the Casino was horrible, which is why I only made this a 4 star review. I had pot roast and it was not well made. Instead of a normal pot roast sauce, it was water. Just plain water. Will never again dine in that place again!!

Nothing fancy, but priced right. Casino took my money just as fast as it could, but that seems par since the pandemic. Enjoyed our stay. Might be a while before, and if, the pool opens again. Not too far from Mesa Verde.Service: 5/5

Stayed 10-14 thru 10-16-22 Sites are fairly level. Bathrooms were clean, showers well kept. Security come thru often. Smoke detector battery in men's room needed to be changed as it beeped the entire time we were there. Car alarms went off in Casino parking lot for long periods of time. Sprinkler system soaked the door side of our camper both nights

Fine for a quick stay. Site was not very level, and probably the smallest site we’ve ever had. We had to choose, slides all the way out or stairs out in a very weird way. Obviously chose the stairs, but never had this issue before. Luckily only a 1 night stay.

6/19-6/21 2022: Helpful staff. $47 a night. Class A 40' Diesel Pusher. Had site #43 which is not close to level. Had to extend the front jacks to the top while the rear end of coach was almost on the ground. Noticed other sites looked more level. One might want to check the site before accepting. Wireless was almost nonexistent. Could not stream anything. And it is NOT secure with a password. Thank goodness it had good cable reception. It was a good rest stop to get off the road.

Full hookups, nice grounds. Shower, laundry, close to Cortez. "Dry" campus, alcohol not allowed. Must wear masks in doors at time of this writing. Fuel at the casino. $54/night.

Great park, clean, quiet and safe. The staff are friendly and helpful. Security does rounds 24/7. Grounds are exceptionally clean and kept.

I just made reservations here for later in the summer, but Google Maps is too stupid to realize that, so they keep asking for a review. The fact I only stopped for 15 minutes, seems lost on them!!! The RV park seemed well maintained and was a ways off the highway and behind the casino, so it should be quiet. They have a lot of trees for shade, and seem to have picnic tables near each space and nice facilities. Their largest pull through space is only 60' long, so the spaces are not real spacious for big rigs. I will give a better report after actually staying there.

Bummed out there was no fire pit, the pool was closed which is why we picked this place, and felt like the security was a little stalkerish....lol, but felt super safe. the staff were very nice, they take the covey situation very seriously so mask up everywhere. Would totally stay again when everything is open and available normal. Very tidy place. Landscaping crew was on top of things. We did not go into the casino as you had to mask up, and prefer to breathe fresh air over my hot breath. Had no choice when I did laundry.... which was great! $1.75 for a front loader washer....and $.25 for 10 min dry....$.50 for 24 min.... which I thought was stayed 4-2022
