I can only speak to the scheduling. So far, the person who is in charge of scheduling, Taylor, has been AWESOME. It's her willingness to actually help in my case by calling me back, which is basic but not common, and with an issue with 1 of 2 of my referrals that I find uncommon in health care. I hope she and her colleagues see this. Nice job, Taylor, you're a star.
SleepMed has much room for improvement. First, they did not respond to my Doctor's request to set up an appointment for me. Weeks later, my Doctor's office had to get in touch with them to call me for an appointment. Once I called, I only got voice messages and no calls back. Then finally I had an appointment and then they cancelled it. They rescheduled the appointment and cancelled it again. Then when I came to pick up my sleep pack on a recent scheduled appointment, the tech was confused and did not know I was coming in. I was told to bring the pack back the next day and I did and hopefully my pack was sent off for diagnosis. However, today I get a call from SleepMed asking me to return my pack and asking how it went? I find this service to be so frustrating and I am surprised they are in business. This is nothing like the superb medical care that Santa Barbara represents. Very very bad experience.
Impossible to speak with anyone to get on their books. They rarely answer the phone, don’t respond to voicemails, never call back when they say they will, never follow up on the things they say they will, and on the rare occasion I have been able to reach anyone 1/10 times, roughly - no exaggeration they always seem to have some reason why they can’t schedule me in despite having a bona fide referral from my primary care. Go elsewhere if at all possible. I’m still waiting for my sleep study after a YEAR of trying with these people.
I had an appointment at the Oak Park Lane office on 2/21/2018. First let me say the technician who was with me overnight is the only decent thing having to do with this clinic. On site the carpets are old and crusty and they smell like rot and funk, I'm in a wheelchair and had difficulty on the carpet due to the uneven foam?padding? underneath. I noticed the smell when I first arrived at 8:30 pm, seven hours later it was even worse.The patient bathroom has brownish, yellowish crust lining the toilet from the base of the toilet about 1/2 way back towards the wall. Contamination disposal materials are kept and stored about 2 feet directly in front of this same nasty toilet. Management and administrative staff should be ashamed that this clinic is hygienically unfit for patients to sleep in overnight. Funny the intake materials ask patients not to use lotion, perfumes etc. Why when that could actually improve or mask the smell of this office. SHAME< SHAME<SHAME.
Was a good visit! Tech Carlos, was very attentive and extremely professional. Explained everything and makes you feel as comfortable as possible!
Was told that machine appointment would be set within a day or two at most. Called multiple times and got no information. 2 weeks later called again and was told the phone number they had for me was not correct and they will go ahead and set up an appointment for me and call me back. Not holding my breath.
The staff were friendly, but very disruptive all night long. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience in numerous ways. I would never recommend SleepMed or specifically the Santa Barbara location to anyone. Go see a real sleep specialist, the doctors at SleepMed are not well versed or experienced.
I have not had not been schedule in three months. I know i takes a long time to get this appointment but since the beginning of February.
Had a great stay everything must have been replaced since the last review. No smells clean toilet. Staff worker was friendly no complaints.
