Put Smoothie King in our GPS route and went out of the way off the highway to get to this store with advertising of store hours updated 4 days ago. Closed 35 minutes early! Call ahead if your going to this location to make sure the advertised hours are correct!
Worst customer service ever. The young girl working was very unpleasant. As soon as I walked in I was not greeted with a hello, or welcome to Smoothie King. She immediately said in a angrily tone “it’s really busy, and it's going to be at least a 10 minute wait. We are really behind.” I wanted to leave right then, but I didn’t. I tried calling to speak to the manager the next day, but they never called me back. It has been two weeks now. It seems they don’t care how they treat their customers. I will not be back.
The smoothies are good if they make them right but service is so slow. Sometimes employees are nice and sometimes they aren't. Also have had the drive thru menu scratch up my car one time when it came loose and the employee just said yea they knew it was broke. The hours are way off on Google and on the app.
I attempted to visit this establishment at about 6:50 this evening. I had looked up the hours on Google which verified that they were open until 8PM. After pulling into the drive thru, directly after a truck, I watched this person roll his window down and order a smoothie. After he pulled forward, I pulled up to the speaker, waited a couple minutes and then was told by the person inside that "Because we are five minutes until close, we're not accepting any more orders" I wish I would have pointed out to the person that it was actually closer to 10 minutes before 7, NOT five and what kind of establishment turns away paying customers BEFORE the business closes?! If you want to stop serving people at 6:55 then MAKE THAT YOUR STORE HOURS. Not only that, but your Google hours says you close at 8. I can't get over the fact that they served the person who pulled into the line literally seconds before me and not myself. As someone who has worked in the customer service industry my entire adult life, this is not the way you create new and loyal customers. I will not be visiting this business ever again and I will urge others to proceed with caution when it comes to this business.
I'm so confused on how this location has a good rating. Every time I have been here the wait is absurd. I'm usually okay with that because there really isn't a lot of options for smoothies in Cape Girardeau. However this afternoon I decided to grab a smoothie for lunch while on break. There were 4 cars in front of me, I almost turned around then, but decided to give it a shot. 36 minutes.... that is how long it took to get a freaking smoothie. The employees here could care less, and its probably because the management could care less. I watched 3 cars back out and turn around throughout this process, and I cant help but wonder how often that is the case. You all are losing out on a lot of business which is fine if your the only smoothie gig in town, but if there was ever competition in this area Smoothie King would be no more. I've been a loyal smoothie King customer in Biloxi, and New Orleans but this location has me ready to hang the towel up. Get it together.
I love smoothies. Friday cheap smoothies are the best but the wait is horrible Here again month later. Predict you'll wait a minimum of 20 min and likely have your stuff sent through the drive through. 5$ Friday ONLY reason to come
This place used to be great. However, the last few times I've gone in I've tried to order a different smoothie each time just to be told they're out of an ingredient to make my smoothie. I don't understand how a business can remain open if they can't make several items on their menu each time I go.
This was ridiculous if I have enough time to write a review while waiting currently 22 mins In the drive through and haven't got my smoothie yet. I understand it 5 dollar Friday and they need to have more people here working before the lose customers I have been at the window. For 2 mins and haven't been greeted and they are focusing on the customers in the lobby because if they weren't I let wouldn't have taken 25 mins to get my smoothie . I'm not exaggerating....
I normally love this Smoothie King but I ordered two drinks this morning and found small quarter inch maybe plastic fibres in both, likely from a nylon bristle cleaning brush. Oops. Accidents happen. I went into the store to get a refund and was told to come back in an hour when the manager is there. I came back only to be told that there is no active manager employed at the store and the assistant manager decided to take the day off. No refund for me. Moral of the story, the management here is completely incompetent and you're unlikely to get a refund for any reason.
