A multi-level recreational gymnastics program providing training for children ages 18 months to 12 years at the Smyrna Community Center
This program offered through Parks and Recreation is a multi-level recreational gymnastics program providing training for children ages 18 months to 12 years old. Gymnastics and tumbling classes are taught at the Community Center. All class times are subject to change. Register online at www.smyrnacity.com or in person at the Community Center.

Class fees listed are based upon a 4-week session. Classes that meet more than 4-times or less than 4-times during a particular month will be charged accordingly at time of registration.
PRE-SCHOOL TUMBLING

JUNIOR TUMBLE BEARS
Designed for children ages 18 months to 2 1⁄2 years. Parent and child explore movement through fun, age appropriate activities, encourages social skills in non-competitive environment. (30-min. class)

TUMBLE BEARS
Children ages 2 1⁄2 to 3 years explore movement through fun, age appropriate activities, encourages social and developmental skills in non-competitive environment. (30-min. class)

ADVANCED TUMBLE BEARS
Children ages 3 and 4 years old will be introduced to basic gymnastics skills and equipment in a fun energized but structured environment. (45-min. class)

PRESCHOOL GYMNASTICS
This class is designed for children ages 4 and 5 years old. Introduces proper stretching techniques, understanding basic gymnastics terms, skills, and equipment. This class prepares children for the Smyrna Gymnastics program. (1 hour class)

SCHOOL-AGED GYMNASTICS

BEGINNER LEVEL
Children must be in Kindergarten to participate. Class includes be- ginner skills, rolls, jumps, hand- springs, cart-wheels, bars, mini- trampoline, beam, springboard, and vaulting skills. Also includes proper stretching techniques and flexibility matched with muscle (1-hr class)

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
Participants must be able to successfully perform a cart-wheel and other basic skills before enrolling in this class. Class includes increased skills on all apparatus; begin unassisted springboard over vault, pull-over on bars, unassisted mounts and dismounts skills. Also, includes conditioning, proper stretching techniques, and flexibility with muscle control. (1-hr class)
