Holy Smokes. Always wondered why this jewelry store in Ellicott City is held in such high regard. I found out why a couple of months ago, and I’m only now getting around to writing this review. Their customer service is out of this world! I had the pleasure of dealing with a young woman named Katherine. She was so polite, so knowledgeable, and so pleasant to interact with. She took her time with me, and answered all of my questions. I was thrilled with her expertise! I bought in jewelry to have cleaned and jewelry to have appraised. Her honesty was so appreciated!! One most be extremely careful about who you trust with your valuables. This place is five star! Especially, Katherine. I don’t normally write reviews, as I think most people are full of it, Katherine and Smyth are the real deal! Just wow!
Please do not get your ring resized or anything here. Was recommended to get my ring resized here and my ring was engraved. Was told it was not an issue to keep and got my ring back without the engraving. Was offered to have it engraved again because it was their fault that my engraving was gone, and got it back and you can barely tell what it actually says and the ring still does not fit. In addition you can tell where it was cut to resize. Was offered to have it fixed again, but when I asked about a ring being only resized twice from research, no response. So basically that was my answer, if I want to get it fixed I would not be able to resize it in the future again because it was already resized twice. You get what you pay for. Wish they went over options for resizing as well as this was my first time getting this done. Do your research, and get any work done at a professional place. Reply: I have reached out after they replied to my review and no response.
I went in to the location where I had my engagement ring "custom made" & was treated in very rude, racist, unprofessional manner. When we purchased the ring a few months ago, "Peggy" was very pleasant & professional. I arrived on 7/14 at around:5:15 pm The gentleman I encountered was very mean & acted as if I was nothing & never even introduced himself. He lied and said he had 3 of my ring, so he's not doing "ANY" buying. However, that was a total lie, because my ring was custom made. He never even evaluated the ring or reviewed the receipt for a second. He even made a rude comment stating "That was fast". This is Absolutely Disgusting & Unacceptable. It is very hurtful to treat people in an unfair manner & LIE to them.
Delightful, professional, helpful, I can't say enough good things. My ring setting after eight years was just not structurally sound enough to fix any more. Kathrine Powers the sales manager went more than the extra mile to help. She wrote a note for my insurance company, and spend quality time to help me pick the best replacement. This is customer service! Would highly recommend.
Excellent service! I had my grandmother's diamond reset into a beautiful Simon G setting. I explained that I wanted to have the work done while I waited. They were very understanding, and I made an appointment. The ring turned out soooo beautiful. I think the girls that helped me .. Natasha and Katherine were just as happy and excited as I was! I couldn't have asked for a better experience ..I highly recommend Smyth in Ellicott City!
I had several rings sized and they did a great job. My rings look beautiful. They were also cleaned and look better than new. I highly recommend them. Also their staff were so great to work with.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars, because Smyth Jewelers in Ellicott City is, by far, the best jewelry store I have ever been to. I would never even think about going to any other store to purchase jewelry or have it cleaned or repaired. They are exceptional and the customer service is stellar. I highly recommend Nick Lawson store manager, he is absolutely fantastic to work with and treats you like an actual family member. The entire team is wonderful and I can’t say enough about how amazing this store and Nick are, please go see them for all of your sparkly needs!!!
I have been a customer at Smyth Jewelers at Turf Valley for several years and their store is excellent in every way. I’ve purchased jewelry for myself, gifts and recently had a few custom pieces made with Peggy’s help which are beautiful. She is wonderful to work with as is the manager Katherine!!
I love Smyth Jewelers. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Whether you want a custom piece of jewelry or simply trying to replace a watch battery, the service can't be matched. Highly recommend.
My experiences at Smyth are always a delight. I had some rings appraised by them several years ago and was able to get the appraisals updated recently at no additional cost. A loyal customer for life! The quality in all of their products is top drawer and will only consider them for any jewelry needs. I can’t recommend Smyth enough!
