This review is based on the staff not the establishment. The manager of the Caledonia location is very rude to deal with. When I went to sign up she acted like it was a inconvenience to service me and even stated that "she had her jacket on" and was leaving. The hours of her job are on the outside of the building and are till 3pm I walked in at 2:40. Understandably that's cutting it close to when she was getting off but to give me attitude about it when I'm a new customer was rude. I knew she was never there because I have friends who work out at this location and hardly see her in the office. I made sure to go during her scheduled hours so i could catch her to sign up since no one answers the phone when you call. Then asked if I was joining because of " new year new me" as I joined in February, and told me my job was a 'Cake walk" when I asked if working for the school would give me a discount. She seemed to not care how she talked to potential new customers. She also gave no explanation of the gym, no tour or where i could find anything. I asked if there were locker rooms and she pointed at the stack of cubbies and said right there. Overall I like the gym its self. Its small and could use a better cleaning but with how limited Caledonia area is for gyms its nice going there and actually getting on a piece of equipment.
Better atmosphere than Cali Fitness! This is the best gym around! Good prices with many options, great facility, and an amazing staff. The manager, Justin, is very friendly and is always willing to help with any questions, setting a great environment. It's filled with friendly members with no sense of gymtimidation. Always clean and always cool. Filled with machines in great condition and they have a good amount of free weights. They gym tends to feel a little small on busy nights after work, but the people are nice enough to move over a little if asked. They also have reasonable personal training deals for those interested.
I was worried that I would be intimidated by joining the gym. How wrong I was. Everyone has been very welcoming and helpful. No matter the time of day I go in everyone has been very nice. The machines are adjustable for even the weakest among us me. I've been going for a month now and I'm feeling more alive than ever. They have a stand up tanning bed, which is nice. 24 hour service is nice. If I can't sleep I just go in and work out. I highly recommend Snap to everyone.
The Caledonia Snap Fitness is great! They set members up with a program for success and I have seen great results from my workouts. Staff is always friendly and is very knowledgeable. Plus with a Snap membership I can visit any location and I travel a lot around Grand Rapids area so I can get a great workout in whenever/wherever.
This is a great place to work out. It is a very clean environment and everyone is very friendly. A lot of people know each other by name. You can always get on a machine, no matter how busy it is. Manager, Justin, is always ready to help or answer questions. Both my husband and I look forward to going there.
Staff has done a wonderful job a making this neighborhood gym a place where members know each other’s names and enjoy working out together. Always clean and never a wait for the cardio machines. Check it out you won't be disappointed.
Caledonia Snap Fitness is the best place around to get healthy. Bar none. The variety of membership options was perfect for my wallet, and the staff is both helpful, and genuinely want to push you towards your fitness goals. If you're committed to getting in shape, then there's nowhere better than Caledonia Snap Fitness.
Access card and credit card used to pay monthly dues were stolen out of my vehicle on August 17th - even have a police report stating my SNAP access card was one of the items taken.....received a phone call from a Carrie on September 19th who advised that I'll be sent to collections for non-payment of September and October. I haven't been to any SNAP location since August 10th because I've had no access card but because I didn't come into the gym that's rarely ever staffed and have no way of entering without an access card to cancel in writing I'm obligated to pay for something I don't use?!?! Having been a member for over 5 years one would think they'd be a little more gracious with the situation.
Nice equipment, a little cramped but nice.
