We are a small family run bakery in Owen county Indiana , Selling traditional breads, pies, and many other things

In Iowa as Home Baked Bread, in Wisconsin as Farmhouse Bakery & Cheese, for over 20 years we have been bringing our favorite recipes to our friends and customers across the Midwest. In fact, our pies have gone from coast to coast. Now the tradition continues as SommHerrs Baked Goods in Gosport Indiana.
During the summer months we are set up at the junction of State Hwys 67 and 231 most Saturdays. So, treat yourself to something from our unique line of baked goods ranging from our famous pies to our award-winning cinnamon rolls.
Our products are home produced and processed, and the production area has not been inspected by the State Dept. of Health.

Just get your rear in gear and get down here like asap! Your mouth tastebuds and all the way down to your tummy will be so happy! Absolutely yummy and delicious down to the last tiny crumb! If you're still reading this, get your slow reading rear down there and enjoy a yummy taste of life!
Fresh dried herbs, products without preservatives, fresh baked goods, including my favorite which I have never seen anywhere else black walnut chocolate chip cookies Sommherrs Bakery is worth a check out. They are closed on Mondays. Also worthy on note the ladies who run the bakery are lovely, friendly people.
It smells wonderful! I can't say enough good things about this bakery! They have a deli, packaged goods, canned jellies, jams and butters. Candy, drinks, meals, cookies and more... Get there early if you want your choice of bread! It is absolutely worth the drive and their prices are very reasonable.
If you're willing to pay the price there are some wonderful treats in store for you at this bakery shop it's a little pricey but everything is done handmade in the shop and it's wonderful
Today was my second time going and we tried some takeout items from back near the deli. The cinnamon roll was thrown in a microwave and we got an order of biscuits and gravy that tasted really gross. The baked goods we bought were dried out and tasted old. This is a complete 180 from when I went there around Christmas time. Hopefully they get back on track!!
When I opened the door to SommHerrs Bakery last friday I was overcome by the intense aroma of cinnnamon rolls. Glorious! You can watch the ladies prepare their baked goods on the right side of the bakery. I was there to buy organic oatmeal but they also make savory dinner pies with beef, salmon, etc. Have a fine array of spices, cheese, lunch meat, candy, pies, canned fruits, vegetables and fruit preserves. They now have a few tables to enjoy breakfast and lunch. This place is a jewel in Owen County.
BEST chicken salad ever! The baked goods are too good to choose just one. You won't be disappointed to stop by! We drive 30 minutes just to pick up a few goodies
If you have not tried out this bakery/deli store, you are missing out! It's different and nice little shop, and you're supporting local! Yeast rolls are amazinggg!
Customer service was so so. The lady up front was on the phone the whole time.
