I really thought this would be a decent place to stay;however it was not. This place was recommended but I will suggest not staying there to others. We stayed for a week for our son's graduation. When we first checked in our room air conditioning was not working, so we had to get another room. It still wasn't right, but worked some. Speaking of rooms, we had a $50 charger per day just to keep the room reserved. That doesn't make sense at all, especially since we were quoted differently. We paid almost $400 more than when we made arrangements online. Just sad... Also, we had to ask for towels and trash taken out twice. They only came to turn down our room once. You know change towels, trash, and make the bed. The lobby and hallways were hot as well. Our furniture and carpet was stained too. Over all, I was not pleased with this place. Since it was recommended I would have thought it wouldn't be better.
It's a very nice upscale hotel. Unfortunately, the time we stayed there, they had so many issues going on. One of the main AC units wasn't working, hot water issues too. It would have been an amazing stay if not for that. I truly thought they would have made things right due to all the issues we had to deal with, but they still charged us full price for having to sleep in a sweat box, never tried to move us and never made any concessions to make it right. For these reasons, we'll never stay here again.
Rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. Pool and hot tub areas weren't the best looking but there was a large and raucous group that I believe caused that issue. The service of the front desk staff was fantastic. Enjoyed fabulous drinks, food and conversation with the amazing bartender Barbara! Met the most amazing man, Skip, who seemed to wear all hats at this hotel - he was hands down the most accommodating, generous, hospitable man we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Helped us with absolutely every question or request immediately and very obviously cared about the hotel, it's guests and the service provided with the utmost professionalism and kindness possible. Thank you for an amazing stay!!! Food & drinks: Food and drinks at the bar/restaurant were top notch! Not to mention the fabulous service from Barbara! My husband and I were in town for a church conference and we stayed here and our stay was very comfortable! When we got into town it was a few hours early before check in, but when we got to the hotel the lovely lady at the front desk Gene was an absolute doll!! Ms Gene helped us check in with such ease and she was so very sweet!! Traveling for over 10 hours and then meeting someone like Ms Gene to help us with our early check in definitely made our stay here so much better!! That is the first thing that made our stay here great!! The hotel itself was nice and clean and so was our room. The room that we stayed in was very clean and the bed was super comfortable! I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to family and friends!! Thank you again Ms Gene! Rooms: Very clean and the bed is super comfortable! Safety: Need the key to get to your room with the elevator Food & drinks: Bar in the hotel and they do have food available Noteworthy details: The staff is very friendly especially Ms Gene who made our stay here a plus!! Upon arrival, I was given a room with a king bed after booking a King with a Pull out sofa. I went back downstairs carrying two small children and a luggage cart and told them. They offered me two doubles because they did not have the king/sofa. I reluctantly agreed knowing my husband who was coming in the next day with our other child and I would be sleeping with a toddler between us. I took the keys and headed to my room carrying 2 kids and a luggage cart. Upon arriving the keys did not work. So back downstairs with two kids and a luggage cart I went. Finally got the working keys and got into my room. The room was musky and outdated and the smell of marijuana would about knock you down, but I unpacked and settled in. The next morning I noticed I had 3 pending charges for the total plus incidentals on my card totaling over $1400. I talked to the front desk and they assured me that it was an accident and they would have it fixed. Fast forward to checkout and I was charged for the 3 times. I spoke to one person who said they would look into it and call me as I drove home. I never heard from that person. The next day I call and ask for the manager who proceeds to tell me he needs time to investigate and will call me back by lunch. Once again, no call. I call back the next morning and the manager offers to refund two of the charges. I explained that I would still need to be refunded for the incidentals as well. He proceeds with only a partial refund. Anyway, I asked to speak to a General Manager that day, and each day since then with NO RESOLUTION. The manager even gave me a bogus email for the GM when I demanded one. I am sorry, but I have stayed in 5 hotels this summer with my children and this type of customer service is completely unacceptable!
This has to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The lobby is a little updated but the rest of the hotel is pretty outdated. The room has dark wooden furniture with scratches and stuffs all over it and the thinnest comforter ever on the bed. We arrive the room smelled of smoke and some other odor. We didn't have a TV remote so we had to call and ask for that that was brought with their 30 minutes. The phone didn't work. The fixtures in the shower were detaching from the wall and on our last morning there the doorknob from the door to the bathroom fell off. The shower didn't drain. We had to go down to the lobby multiple times to ask for it to be fixed remember our phone didn't work . It was finally fixed at almost midnight our second night there, in which the stopper for the tub was removed leaving a big gaping hole. But there is a bottle opener attached to the wall next to the shower for your drinking convenience while you're taking a shower. They don't do daily housekeeping instead they only come and do housekeeping every 4 days. Their reasoning excuse it's to prevent cross contamination to stop the spread of COVID-19. I don't understand how allowing trash and grime accumulate on surfaces helps stop spread of COVID-19. Instead you have to request that they take out your trash and bring you clean towels or clean linens on a daily basis which instead it sounds like more work for housekeeping than less. Also if they're interested with preventing the spread of COVID-19 which I don't believe because they have a sign on the front door saying they are responsible for anybody getting sick you would think you would see housekeeping keep it a common areas clean The carpets and the hallway need to be vacuumed I never saw anybody wiping the surfaces in the elevators of the common areas so I'm not sure where this fake concern for COVID-19 comes from. I'm convinced that these positive reviews are either from people that never stay in the hotel before or are completely fake. The only positive I can say is that is near a lot of restaurants and stores and just off 85.
Great location! Hotel staff is amazing, especially Morgan! She was very helpful and accommodating on our reservations. Hotel is very clean, rooms are updated and spacious. We’ve stayed here several times and will continue to do so! Safety: I always feel secure and safe in this hotel due to the security measures taken there. You have to have your room key to operate the elevators, and there is a security guard on the premises.
Our room was nice, it was updated. It had all the amenities fridge, coffee, microwave, etc. Someone did previously smoke in our bathroom. We did not experience any issues. They had complimentary breakfast, it was standard. The best part was Gene and Nellie at the front desk. These ladies were nice, pleasant, sweet and helpful. Rooms: Updated, did not seem old or smell old. Nearby activities: Close to Stone Mountain, mall, fast food. Food & drinks: Complimentary breakfast was good.
