I can't say enough. I was a walk in, my elderly cat had a HUGE problem the evening before and I had my sister to take me to Kendall Animal Hospital. They made room for me and my Bradley and I was much appreciated for that. After seeing him and the test he received, I kind of knew it would be a miracle if he survived. The meds didn't work. But he tried his best to be the best he could be. If he had it his way, he'd still be with me RIGHT NOW. I took him back once I saw him not improving. The doctor came in and spoke with me, I was ready to anything to bring him comfort, this beautiful doctor suggested that I not allow this procedure. She understood me and help me understand what was happening with my Bradley. Of course I was heart broken. She asked could she give me a hug, it was MOST WELCOMED!! Everything was happening so fast, I forgot to get her name. At the end of that visit she ask for no charge for her services. Yes, no charge and a hug My Bradley is having fun at bow Bridge now. I'll miss him forever. I used to tell him, "I think I LOVE YOU TOO MUCH" and I did. I had him cremated there and a wonderful job they did. I keep him by my side, he's always close. I had Bradley for 17 years. I have 18 month old who I will bring to them for her wellness care. I was a stranger to them, but one would have thought I'd been going there for years!!! They made my very heavy so much lighter. Thank you South Kendall Animal Hospital for all your compassion and comfort
I have been taking my crew to this office for several years now. My pets have been taken care of by the different vets there, and they are all knowledgeable and compassionate. I have a cat who is a former feral so he can get cranky and obstinate about being poked and prodded, but they know how to handle and manage his attitude! Since I moved I now have to drive farther for appointments now, but choose to stay with South Kendall rather than go somewhere else.
Fair weather vets. But when my cat was having an emergency, they wouldn't see him. Mind you, this is in the middle of the day, in the middle of a work week, and we were existing patients. They told us to take him to an emergency vet. Everyone knows that emergency vets are very expensive. And you have to do what you have to do... during night time and weekend hours. But in the middle of a normal work day? I, as a patient, would have NO PROBLEM waiting if someone brought their animal in for an emergency. I don't think anyone would. But when I called ahead, while driving my cat in, they said no. I told them I wasn't going to a patient with them anymore. They had the vet call me back and she had the audacity to try to interrupt and talk over a grieving parent with a beloved cat dying in her arms. My cat did die. He died on the way to the emergency clinic. But they should NOT turn away customers with animal emergencies during regular working hours. They also seem to be a bit of an expensive vet. They recommended surgery for a 9 year old dog that tore an ACL. That is several thousand dollars surgery that, upon me researching, has a 50% chance of having to do the other leg, when you do the first one. For what outcome with a dog that old? We opted not too, obviously, and Captain recovered much more than they suggested possible with supplements, rest and is very happy with his transition into "old dog" who gets away with being on the couch more now. Anytime there were options in care, and chose the less expensive option, there was that big sigh, "Okay, well... " Like we aren't good pet parents if we aren't made out of money. We are finding another vet and I HIGHLY recommend you don't come here.
The best! Everyone, from the first call to checking out, was just wonderful! Kind, considerate, caring and professional. Dr Weir is just amazing. I am so happy I brought my furbaby. Thank you!
Any place one goes to get a service, the initial overall view one gets from the place is if they are willing to assist and can provide at the very least pricing or brackets of such pricing for a specific service. I called today 17 JUL at around 3:30 PM and talked to the receptionist can't remember if her name was Melissa, call broke up a bit, but I was calling to get an estimate on teeth cleaning for a Shitzu who is about 15 1/2 y/o. I understand clearly such estimates will not be fully accurate, as it's not until examination which also has a cost from the get-go that one will know for certain how bad the situation is and how deep the cleanup needed is, it's also until then that the assessment about extractions may be know. However, these places should be able to provide rough estimates, a "basic pricing" for a procedure, half of the ones I called today gave me one. What I can say is I would never recommend a place where you go "blind" and have no idea how many hundreds or thousands of dollars you may be coming short of simply because they did not tell you before hand what to expect. Not recommended and I would avoid any place where such situation is encountered.
Great experience ! Everyone was so helpful & kind. Our Molly is a very reactive shelter pup & they facilitated us to avoid any anxiety or confrontation with the other pups This attention & care is priceless ! Molly was at ease with Dr. McCombie & Vanessa, the check up went very well with their care. Thank you so much!
Been taking my dog Kiko here since he was a puppy, his now 5 years old and is as healthy and happy as can be. Your staff is remarkable and always attentive to my needs.
I am so happy with vets and techs at SKAH. The vet clinic I took Ziva to before labeled her as "aggressive", which anyone that has met Ziva knows that she is just a scared and anxious little girl. At SKAH they always treat Ziva with love and patience, and I am truly grateful.
I've been taking my pets to SKAH for over 20 yrs and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff is absolutely the best. They are friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Every doctor that I have seen there over the past 20+ yrs has been wonderful, caring, great bedside manner and knowledgeable. The doctors there take their time and explain everything to you, they always give you an estimate first and then discuss your options with you. This is a great place for your fur babies. I've never had any issues or bad experiences at SKAH. i would definitely recommend this facility to friends, family and strangers. Keep up the good work.
Tiger and Fiona always enjoy visiting South KendallAnimal Hospital! They are the best!!
