South Shore School of Dance is a premier dance/performing arts school in North Massapequa, NY. Founded by Mary Douglas in 1981, South Shore offers outstanding international training only minutes from your home in a nurturing, loving environment. While most students study dance for grace, poise, and enjoyment, South Shore has produced scholarship winners. Emilia Thuma Cammann was accepted to the famous School of American Ballet- the training school for the New York City Ballet. She also received a substantial scholarship to New York University for Dance Education. Sara Jansen received a full scholarship to the New York Dance Theatre, and also performed at Lincoln Center with the American Ballet Theatre in Romeo and Juliet. South Shore has an award winning competition team, and offers a Nutcracker/Christmas Show for all qualified students.
