I booked a trail ride for myself and my husband a day in advance with the owner, Karen. We were able to secure an afternoon ride, which was WONDERFUL!  It was my husband’s first time riding a horse and we both thoroughly enjoyed the hour long ride with Christy!  She gave us a tutorial on how to handle the horses and was an awesome trail boss…very engaging and shared good information about the farm and its history. The horses were very gentle and responsive to our verbal and nonverbal cues. My husband and I agreed that it was a therapeutic and fun experience. We expect to go back again in the Fall.

My group of four went on a great trail ride here! The horses are very gentle and the owner is very nice and knowledgeable. I would love to go again sometime, if I'm ever back in the area.

We stayed the night as a Harvest Host. It was very quiet and a beautiful sunrise in the morning. Little tricky getting on and off the main road but all and all a good stop!

We took one our ride. The horses are trained well on the trails. Karen is the owner who is very sweet. She helped with appointments. Christie is the instructor who helped on the trails. Kudos to the management.

We had an amazing trail ride! The while family really enjoyed it. Amazing team of trail guides, well trained horses. We felt like we were riding with family. If you haven't ever been trail riding this is where you want to go. The team made my family feel safe and confident the entire time. I cannot recommend this Farm or team enough. 10 stars if I could.

I booked a 1 hour trail ride for myself and daughter a few days ago. I booked this as a gift for my child’s 9th birthday but I was so afraid that my daughter would not like the experience. To my surprise, my daughter enjoyed every minute of this! From the instructor, to the conversation, the sight seeing. This was our first time riding a horse and, because of this experience, it won’t be our last. Thank you to the friendly and kind staff at Southern Grace Farm. I look forward to seeing you all again! This was worth the 2 hour drive there and back!

We had a great morning trail ride around the property with Kristie. It was the girls first time riding a horse and she did a great job teaching them and making them comfortable. We will definitely be back for some lessons. Highly recommend getting out and spending some time with the kids at Southern Grace. The owner was great with communication and the whole experience was super easy. As the girls said on the ride home “that was the best”.

If you are looking for the best trail riding experience in a the DMV area, this is the place. I am extremely skeptical and picky when it comes to service and value .This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I really enjoyed the family environment , it felt like home. You can tell by the way they are with each other, the horses and the dogs that there is a lot of love there . My husband got a chance to chat deployment and military with the owner. For all our military and non military family, you will fit right in .I was not compensated or coerced into writing this review haha . I am writing it on my way back from the farm . You will not regrets it, i am coming back for the 3 hour version with food haha

Southern Grace Farm is a wonderful place!! It is my home away from home filled with amazing people and horses. My daughter has been taking lessons there for 3 1/2 years, when we purchased our horse almost 2 years ago it was a no brainer that we would board him there. The owner is very friendly and has a lot of horse experience and is always willing to help this "new" horse owner out. The trainers there are so kind and helpful. They have helped my daughter grow into a better equestrian, student, friend, and teammate. They not only teach them great horse management skills but they teach them good life skills as well.

Booked a trail ride for my wife and I for her birthday. Neither one of us had rode a horse before. We had a blast. Jack, our guide, was really cool and knowledgeable. Horses were so sweet. Karen runs a really great farm. This farm is a hidden gem in Southern Maryland that you have to check out. Great people, great animals, great experience!!  Can’t wait to go back. Thanks Jack, Karen, little Jack, Sugar, and Splash.
