Southern Legends Restaurant

Today ,12/10/21, I had lunch at Southern Legends; my first, but not the last visit. I had the flounder and shrimp combination meal; with sides, hush puppies, black eyed peas, butter beans, and lemonade to quench my thirst. Since, this isn't a fast food diner. I sat and enjoyed the cozy, family atmosphere, associated with the small dinning square footage, that meant nothing, once my steamy fresh plate was delivered; I could not believe the amount of food on my plate , I savor each bite; well seasoned , my tongue delighted with joy, yes, I was hungry. Saye Say, my waitress, was courteous, great customer service skills, welcoming, and pleasantly caring, to see if my dinning experience was great. Being on a fixed income, my bill summary, did not surprise me. For this was my monthly treat. I'll be back.

Mr. Rick who owns this restaurant is a fine man, and a good Christian man. I like the way he takes care of his employees, and on top of that he has the BEST southern soul food in Wayne County. Y,all really need to go try this place. You will not regret it!

Seafood Friday was great. You definitely get your money's worth wasn't crowded and the sweet tea is some of the best from a restaurant. Definitely will be going back. Features: Not that it mattered to us but for those who are concerned I would say tables were decent amount apart. The staff didn't wear mask but again that doesn't matter to me

The food was just delicious. I had the Turkey barbecue sandwich and slaw and it was so delicious I got two. Also the customer service was very pleasant and welcoming.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No

After hiking at the Cliffs of the Neuse, my husband and I chose Southern Legends for dinner it was either here or McDonald's for fish. I am beyond thrilled that we chose Southern Legends. Our meal flounder and shrimp was served hot and the portion size was generous. Although the restaurant was closed for dine-in service, we still received stellar service. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is very hospitable. We look forward to returning to try other entrees.

Let's be honest. First of all. Before I even placed a order there. I went by all the reviews. So ill of the people to me are friends or just hungry. Nothing southern about this place. And in from the north. Sorry to the sister who own this place. But...i had better southern food down here from a gas station. Although I would lije to say yhe corn was good. Rice NO.Mashed potatoes NO. Gravy NO. Pork chops HELL NO. You NEVER DIRESPECT A PORK CHOP LIKE THAT. So now I understand people. When you go to a place to eat and it is empty. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THERE.

The cook put potato salad in with my plate by accident and came to the window to tell me that she didn’t feel like having to redo my plate. I asked her to redo it because it wasn’t what I asked for and I absolutely dislike potato salad. She told me to just go home and remove it if I didn’t want it. The fries were soggy and hush puppies were leaking grease. I don’t plan to return. I paid $21 and couldn’t get what I asked for.

Had fish on Friday the meals were great. Always good food from here. Love the burgers.

Great food, the only problem was there was only one person running the front area. So she was taking takeout orders and waitressing. And serving the food for everyone so she couldn't give the tables the attention they needed.
