My kids LOVE to visit this spot and feed the wildlife! The turtles swim to you when you have bread for themIt's a great place to walk along the path to the bridge overlooking all of the turtles and fish. They keep the area nice and clean!
I feel great knowing that I have received two degrees from The University of Southern Mississippi,a BS in Psychology,2015, and a Master's Degree in Social Work,2020 .Thank you Father God for these wonderful Blessings.
The campus has a nice layout and the facilities are landscaped well. USNews 2017 ratings has it at the #220 for National Universities.
Amazing, just right kinda size, campus, wouldn't change my decision of going here to finish off my business degree with emphasis in real estate and biology. Amazing smart students to commute, learn, and be with. Amazing professors. Amazing degree. Amazing alumni. UsM has 3 satellite campuses and I loved them all: ocean springs, Hattiesburg, and this one on the beach with the friendship oak. When I left they had 2 gyms on campus and possibly getting dorms back in 2015.
The parking passes are expensive. I guess everything about this school is, but careful not to use the parking lot unless you've purchased one. They fine you the cost of the pass every time you park there.
Would not recommend this school... Staff doesn't help you and Veronica is very rude... Consider another school
Nice compact campus with small classes in the upper mathematics departments. . Big difference from the Hattiesburg campus. I only had two courses here but both of my instructors were very helpful and willing to spend ample time with you one on one after class. If you live on the coast I suggest going to this campus if you can rather than making the drive to Hattiesburg.
it has some of the best teacher but also some of the worst! Some of the teachers treat you like complete trash. They slack off, but give you ZERO wiggle room. I have one teacher that sometimes won’t even respond to emails and another one that takes days to respond.
I have been a student here for over two years, and I have attended two previous colleges before this due to relocation. Let me be honest when saying that this is the absolute WORST school I have ever walked into. For starters, why do I pay full price for University Course, that is subbed out to a virtual community college no where near where I am? Junior colleges do not have the same schedules as Universities, and quite frankly, if I was going to go to a JUCO, I wouldn't be enrolled in a "University". Out of every Face to Face Class I have had here, I may have had two total teachers. The rest of the people "teaching" are part time professionals-doing this in their spare time. There is not a single department on this campus at this school that cares about your well-being as a student at ALL. It is a complete waste of money, especially if you are paying out of pocket. I strongly suggest driving the extra hour to Mobile, and going to USA.
Beautiful campus, great facilities & staff! Everyone very friendly & helpful!
