Nice staff. Huge inventory for a variety of tastes. My only criticism is the prices are high. Nonetheless, there were plenty of staff. I am sure they have to make a hefty payroll and rent.
Came for the glass...Love this place. A gem of the town that more people need to visit and explore. Staff was very helpful and let me look and ask as many questions I wanted. So much to look at. I ended up buying three ornament pieced and can't wait to place in my home. The rooms attaching the glass gallery are just gorgeous. Some of my favorite pieces I added.
I have bought and sold art through Southwest over the years with GREAT SATISFACTION , The owner/director Bob is very knowledgeable and helpful, I highly recommend Southwest for a great art experience!!!!
Beautiful art pieces that made me experience history and stories. I was mesmerized and will be coming back to look at the art!
I loved this gallery in some ways better than the Dallas Museum. If you're in Dallas, you can't miss going to this gallery. Better than anything found today even in NYC. Magnificent collection of Western Art and sculpture as well as interesting modern art style paintings and pieces. I wish I had the money to buy 1/2 the collection.
A real nice selection of contemporaty and traditional oil and canvas. Not cheap though.
Awesome gallery that I've enjoyed visiting many times. The inventory is a little pricey for me but that's more about my budget than it is about their pricing. They have some really interesting pieces. The owner and other staff are very friendly, helpful and gracious with their time. The owner even offered to help me with estimating the value of a painting I bought elsewhere that had a signature of an artist I couldn't identify. That meant a lot to me because I could tell he was having a busy day, but he offered anyway. I've referred several people here, and won't hesitate to continue doing so. They've all found it a really cool place to visit too.
Really cool gallery with TONS of art/sculptures!
Fabulous art gallery. All originals! Western art is beautiful, but. . .they have soooo much more, landscapes, gorgeous still-life paintings, portraits, etc., also an abstract area. They have beautiful sculptures. Their framing department is great with infinite number of frames choices.
I do not post reviews; however, when it materially affects my family, I will not hesitate. My father is former Southwest Gallery Artist. When he pulled his work from the gallery, the gallery neglected to mention one piece that they had "loaned" to a potential client. The gallery was very vague about the interested client, and could not even share with us just how long his painting had been "on loan". There was no notification to the artist of this loaned piece, nor was there any sort of deposit held by the gallery for the loan of the artwork. Over a month ago, when the artist asked that either 1 the painting be returned to him or 2 payment is received, the Director said they would follow up the following day. Without hearing anything from the gallery, I spoke with the gallery Director 3 days after said followup. He assured me that the client was interested in the artwork and payment would be received within a week. It is now 35 days later, and when I asked the Director for the check number and amount of the check that should have been sent a month ago, he said that he could not give me the information because the check has not been cut. Business should not be conducted this way, and there needs to be some accountability for actions of "professionals" such as these people. Artists beware.
