Two friends wanted to create something awesome…
Sitting in a local coffee shop we started brainstorming cool ideas for an event. After some conversation it hit us… SPACE
How many art shows do you go to where the art is actually created right there on the spot? If any, how many have live music performances going on at the same time - providing inspiration and emotional context for the artists’ work?
That is the concept behind SPACE. Local art + local music combined to provide the experience of one-of-a-kind artistic exploration. Our goal is to provide artists of all mediums a chance to explore their talents through the instant inspiration they discover in the music being performed.
How does this promote the local economy?
Aside from obviously promoting local artistic/musical talents, we are trying to fill vacant spaces and generate interest in downtown real estate.
All of our events are held in vacant buildings and store-fronts to not only provide a unique experience, but to get people interested in these great open spaces. We hope to generate awareness for new developments and to create new business opportunities in downtown communities.
