Species Gym

I recently became a member of Species Gym and love it! When I was checking out gyms in the area, I called ahead of time to see if they offered a day pass. I spoke to Maurice on the phone and came in later that day to try the gym out. I really enjoyed my workout and the facility. They have a lot of unique equipment and the gym is very spacious. I saw on Instagram that they only had a few more memberships available for the month, so I signed up to be a member the following day. Maurice signed me up, explained the rules, gave me a tour, and he was overall very friendly and helpful! I see Maurice almost everyday and he’s always greeting people, cleaning, and fixing equipment, if needed. Overall, I really enjoy the vibe at this gym and would definitely recommend it to others!

This is the best place to get your workout. I've been going here for about 7 or 8 months now and I love this gym. I love the variety of machines there and I love more the relationships I've made there. Management is top notch. Maurice always keeps the place running smoothly and does a super fantastic job!!

My girlfriend and I recently moved to Houston, TXKaty area and initially signed up at Iron City Gym. We soon decided to check out other gyms in the area as Iron City just wasn't for us. Species Gym was one of the gyms we toured and turned out to be the best of all the ones in the nearby area. Maurice signed my girlfriend and I up for a membership, gave us a tour of the facility, and thoroughly explained all rules and that the gym was 24/7 for members. This gym experience has been MUCH better than the original gym we were members of. Unlike other gyms we've been members of this gym's equipment is never broken, and in the event something is broken, I've noticed it's usually fixed promptly. Also, the gym limits it's monthly member amount which is nice, because the gym never feels too packed, even during peak hours. I also appreciate the fact that people train here for the sole enjoyment of lifting heavy weights, not just for a TikTok. I would strongly recommend this gym to friends in the area and have noticed others moving from their original gyms to sign up here as well. Species Gym is what a true gym should be.

Best gym in Katy! Really good selection of equipment and they do an awesome job of maintaining the machines and keeping everything in working order. If you’re serious about training or just looking for a great gym to get yourself motivated, this is the place to be .

Best gym ever!!! The staff are friendly and helpful. I see them constantly making sure the place is in great condition for the members. If you have any questions they are always there to lend a hand.

I love this place. Membership is extremely affordable & they have so many machines that you can spend 1 min - 5min on and smash your workout. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Love almost everything about this gym. The people are awesome, the machines are well maintained, the garage doors are a great touch, and it motivates me to be there. The only downside is the showers. They are always clean but they are so tiny.

Very warm inside so stay hydrated but great facility. Lots of useful equipment for bodybuilding, powerlifting, and overall fitness. Great rates and great energy. Would reccomend taking a tour.

Species gym is hands down one of the best gyms I belong too! It was a breeze to join and the price was very reasonable! No contrasts and just straight forward month to month membership. You get a key fob for 24 hour access. The staff Lily, Kyle and Fred are the dream team! They run this place like a boss! It’s clean, it’s loud and it’s fun! I have met some great people and made some news friends! Even better this month they expanded to the business next door! It’s huge! You can actually go to the gym after 5:00pm and not have to wait for a machine because there are so many to choose from! I am so glad we found this place! I highly recommend it!!

Great old school gym! It never see to be too packed, and there's so many alternate machines for one exercise that's your not waiting on people which is huge! The vibes and environment are so motivating! There's a posing room for bodybuilding, a kids room if needed, cardio room and a separate leg room that has everything you could ask for. Bodybuilders, powerlifters, CrossFit, beginners, and just people that want to get fit, it's the place to be!
