Description

Spectrum Martial Arts is an academy dedicated to physical empowerment and academic excellence. It was founded by two teaching professionals with a background in a mixed style of martial arts.

SMA is a cohesive mixed style of martial arts founded by the Miller brothers. Inspired by their past training, Raymond and Seth have arranged the most efficient and practical techniques into one curriculum.

We seek to provide and maintain an ever-growing arsenal of the most efficient and proven techniques. The focus will remain on producing supreme martial artists, athletes, and people rather than simply a belt to show off.

Our aim is to train others to improve their mind and body by learning techniques for submission grappling, takedowns, striking, and much more. We hope to enrich our community and we invite everyone to experience the full spectrum of martial techniques.

Our son has been going to Spectrum for just over 4 months now. He loves the class, his fellow students and the instructors. They care about the kids and do a great job with training and encouragement. My wife and I are very happy to have our son in this program.
New to the sport. From what I can tell so far, kids classes are very well designed, very well taught; kids and coaches are very respectful, and atmosphere is kept positive. The introductory adult class is similarly very well run. As a parent of kids also new to the sport, I appreciate that all levels kids through introductory adults learn the same concepts, and almost identical techniques on the same day, so we can discuss and practice at home having the shared experience and terminology. Overall, very impressed so far!
Great coaches and great team! The coaches make it easy to understand. Coming to class is the highlight of my weeks and can’t wait to grow and get better! I strongly encourage anyone of any age to come in and try a class out super chill group of guys!
I started here new to Brazilian jiu jitsu, but not to martial arts in general. Coach Ray and Coach Seth are superlative teachers. They don't just teach techniques to memorize, but instead they focus in learning underlying concepts. From my first class, they made me a better martial artist. The atmosphere and culture of the school is amazing in the truest sense of the word. I felt completely welcome from day one, and it seems like every training partner I've ever had has genuinely wanted to help me learn. Whether you're looking to begin your journey in Brazilian jiu jitsu specifically or martial arts in general, you won't find a better school than Spectrum.
Spectrum is the absolute best decision we could have ever made for our son ! He has excelled here more than we could have ever imagined thanks to the high quality of instruction provided by all the coaches. The level of thoughtfulness, dedication and caring that goes into the lessons each week is second to none and it’s amazing to see all the students excel. They go above and beyond to make all new students feel welcome and at home in their new jiu jitsu Academy. 10 out of 10 the best investment we have ever made !
At spectrum, the coaches treat you like family and all the students are there to learn and grow together. Spectrum has a wonderful competition team the kids especially are beasts! and encourages anyone who wants to compete, but they are also great at teaching for self defense. If you’re just visiting, I would highly recommend stopping by for a class, you will have some fun rolls and learn great techniques from the coaches. I couldn’t ask for a better jiu jitsu family! :
Whether you want to start training or you are an avid competitor, Spectrum is an awesome gym for anyone looking to train BJJ! The coaches are top-notch and the training partners are all welcoming. I've been going for about 5 years and I continue to go as often as I can.
I am a travel nurse and trained at this academy while I was in West Virginia. The instructors here a super friendly, very professional, and treated me like one of their own. I enjoyed the limited time I had to train here and would highly recommend Spectrum Jiu Jitsu if you live in the area. This gym was always packed and for good reason, its an awesome academy.
I walked into the academy as a 47 year-old wondering if Jiu-Jitsu was for me. The coaches are friendly and inviting and the culture is outstanding. A year and a half later, I feel that I definitely came to the right place!
