We went the other night for dinner it so good, I got the red curry chicken and my boyfriend got the red curry beef . Both were delicious . We also got 2 sushi rolls, the California and the Mexican both great as well. We love this place, and always, fresh service always good!Food: 5/5
First time customer! Service was okay but I did hear someone say they are understaffed. Personally I don’t mind if I can’t perfectly understand the waiter because they aren’t supposed to perfectly speak English. I’d say I had a decent experience. They didn’t take a long time to take orders. I had a table of 6 They refilled our drinks multiple times. They didn’t take long with wait times and kept making sure we had the correct orders. My friend and I enjoyed our scorpion roll. BUT I did have a few tuff eel skin and a tiny piece tasted fishy. The veggie spring rolls were pretty good! I might stop by again in the future!
Tasty Thai food, we loved the Penang curry and basil fried rice. Fried ice cream was not that wow. Service was slightly slow but the food was great . Will definitely come again to try other menu items .
Sushi was awful. Looked like a 5 year old rolled it. Wet/guey rice. Hardly any fish. Falling apart. Not good flavor. Used to like this place in the past. Probably not returning.
Came here when I was in town. Definitely recommend this place their servings are generous. I ordered the fried calamari, California roll and broccoli sauce with white rice. Yes they may be short staffed but I had a pleasant time here and staff was very friendly.
I gave 3 stars because, while I love the Thai curries, the restaurant environment is extremely uncomfortable. After one dine in experience, I only order to go now and miss out on opportunity for desserts or drinks. I would love, love, love to see your spot updated and become more appealing to the passerby. Please apply to Restaurant Impossible. I know this may sound daunting, but they do not take customer referrals and Spice Thai & Sushi could use a little pep from Robert Irvine's knowledge.
For sushi and Thai food I recommend this place. There food are not only delicious but also good looking. The sushi are apparently made in front. You can sit in front of the guy and see it made. Or you can sit at your table and enjoy it with your mate or family. Interior is good looking and waiters are helpful and friendly. Over all I had a great experience. Good location as the shopping places are nearby. Enjoy the red curry with their soup of the day.
Their fresh rolls and sweet rice and mango dishes were absolutely fantastic! The Pad Thai was too sweet for my liking but my husband's garlic beef was excellent!
Oh my goodness what a lovely Thai/ Sushi spot! Truly a little gem in Lakeland, in my opinion. All of the sushi rolls I tried were fantastic, especially the St. Pete, which was a mayo type roll and ooooh yes just fantastic, that is all. I got a yellow curry dish, and to be honest it wasn’t my favorite. I felt it was lacking a lot of flavor... but also I just don’t think my pallet was as compatible with that particular dish, rather than reflecting that it was poor quality food. My friend got one of the pad Thai/ rice noodle dishes and that was really yummy, so the food is obviously good, I think I just picked the wrong dish for my preferences. Lastly, the dessert was wonderful! Fried donuts with a condensed milk sauce, and though it may not sound like much it was just divine and I wish we had gotten more donuts! though it’s probably a good thing we didn’t, haha Our waiter was an absolute hoot, the sweetest and most hilarious guy, I feel maybe he was the owner or manager or some higher up, but he made our visit all the better. Such a charismatic place that will become one of my regular spots!
The service is prompt and friendly which is why it gained 3 stars instead of 1. The food ranges from bland to kind of scary. I've been to many thai places and I am sad to say that I finally found a curry that I did not like. The dumplings were so bland that I started missing the frizen ones from publix. I also ordered shrimp sushi and got something scary looking see pic. The wings were also bland and needed spice which was surprising since it they visually looked great.Teachers and corporate trainers, I highly recommend that you take your students/trainees here so that they can get experiential learning on how a book should be more than it's cover.
