Sport is a program geared toward athletes ages 9 and over that is driven by the core concepts of CrossFit.
At its core, the Sport program includes the foundations of CrossFit, which are gymnastics, metabolic conditioning (cardio) and weightlifting. Each movement will be broken down and explained to the athlete regarding proper form and technique. Exercises will be individually scaled (in weight or repetition) until the athlete can show proper technique. Proper technique is vital to the athletes’ safety and their ability to gain speed, strength and intensity.
The 10 components of CrossFit, which include strength, speed, power, balance, accuracy, flexibility, coordination, cardio, stamina and agility, are the focus of our programming. It is expected that each athlete will see improvement in these areas over the course of the session. When applicable, we will cater our programming to each teams specific needs. However, whether your child is here as an individual or with a team, you can expect our programming will follow the core CrossFit concept, which means every workout will be constantly varied, include high intensity and involve functional movements.
