Award winners 2009, 2010, and 2012 for the Oregon Coast Professional Chowder Cook-Off. The Sporthaven Marina's chowder has also won numerous Oregon Coast Peoples Choice Awards.

Award winners of the Reader's choice awards 2011 and recently 2013 for the best clam chowder.


Always made from scratch try our clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl for lunch. The chowder is fresh and exceptionally creamy, with fresh sweet clams. Always friendly service at the bar or in our spacious dining room. We also have outside seating next to the waters edge which is seasonal.

Excellent food. Can be a bit pricy but well worth it. If you like clam chowder, this is the place! The clam bread bowl was very tasty! Also tried the fish n chips and cod sandwich. Fish was a tad bland, but still very good - light on breading and thick chunks of cod, yum! The waitresses there were awesome and nice! We had a person coming in late, so they asked us to let them know when he arrives so the clam bowl could be made fresh. Well worth the visit.
The atmosphere was amazing. Our waitress was friendly and fast, the view is wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the skippers choice fish and chips beer batter and coleslaw with a cup of clam chowder everything was very good. I highly recommend this spot!
Great service, amazing outside seating with sun and wind blockers. Calamari steak and fried oysters were perfect! Fresh homemade clam chowder was one of the best ive had on the oregon coast.
Review is based on their clam chowder and atmosphere. Fantastic restaurant nestled alongside a boat ramp. Patio overlooks the marina and has a modern arrangement with canvas shade and metal outdoor furniture. Wide variety of seafood options on the menu although all I tried was the clam chowder which was wonderful. Creamy and filled with fresh herbs and good chunks of clams.
Very fast and friendly service. We are in the patio and enjoyed the scenery, breeze, and live music. We had the jalapeno artichoke dip, and the bread bowl. It was delicious.
*good food *friendly service *reasonable prices *kids menu My family at here for the first time at an odd time on a Sunday afternoon. There was almost no one else there but I could tell that it gets busy. The staff was very kind and attentive to us and our small children. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I have had better clam chowder, but theirs was very good and I recommend the bread bowl. The “meat eater” burger was really big and delicious and probably my favorite thing we ordered.
Great location, friendly service, decent food. Fish was slightly overdone and tacos were very heavy on the cabbage, but everything tasted good.

Food is outstanding!!!!! Service.....the wait staff tries hard, it seems the kitchen is understaffed. We have eaten there in the last month 3 times. Each time, the food was great, but have a drink and ALOT of patience.....it takes awhile to get your food. The patio is wonderful, and the view of the port is great and entertaining.
Excellent Food and atmosphere! Spent a long time relaxing and enjoying exceptional Bloody Mary's and Shrimp tacos on a sunny patio! Shrimp tacos were some of the best I've ever had! Grilled perfectly with delicious pico, tons of crisp shredded cabbage and choice of several sauces. The wait staff and customer service were super acommodating, friendly, and efficient! Really liked the glass railing on the patio which helped in keeping the windy beach air at bay. Can't wait to come back to the Oregon coast-will definitely dine here!
