STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW!!
Pickin' in the Park Guidelines
1. The event dates are as follows:
In 2017, it will be the third Saturday in May through September:
May 20
June 17
July 15
August 19
September 16 (The September event will be held as part of the Spring Hill Art Walk at the Tennessee Children's Home site on Hwy. 31).
2. There will be two mics, four guitar jacks and a music stand. These are meant to be acoustic sets for easy breakdown. We only allow tracks if the song is an original. If you have any questions about set up, please feel free to send a message to [email protected]
3. Time slots will be assigned. Sets are three songs, but you might want to keep a fourth in the holster in case we have time to fill. However, plan on three. If you have a time constraint, please let us know. We can't promise specific time slots but we do our best to accommodate everyone.
4. This is a family event, so please remember that when you choose your songs. There will be a lot of children at the park, so make sure the lyrics are appropriate for all. Feel free to do originals or covers. Also, feel free to promote yourself and your brand. You can sell your albums, merch, etc. .
5. This is at Harvey Park in Spring Hill at the red Oak Shelter (the one closest to the playground.) There is a small parking lot and additional parking next door at the First Baptist Church (Lower lot near 31). Harvey Park is located along Miles Johnson Parkway, off Hwy. 31.
The goal is to continue to keep this a fun and casual event. If you have any questions or problems, feel free to contact [email protected]. Looking forward to a great season!
