We weren’t completely sure about this campground when we made the reservation but we took a chance on it. The roads weren’t great but taking it at the posted 5mph we got through just fine. The bathroom and showers could use a little updating. The water temperature fluctuates greatly when two people tried to use the shower at the same time. Our campsite #57 was quite muddy but it had just rained for a couple days and was a bit of a walk to the bathroom. It was nice being by the stream and the dog walk area. They do have a very nice little store that has a good variety of items. The location was great for the activities we were doing. Would possibly stay here again if there weren’t other options.
Nice, tidy and friendly RV Park. Miles away from any walkable bars or restaurants which is a negative for us but the girl in the shop recommended a great Italian restaurant that delivers Little Venice and they were excellent. The pool was really pleasant. It was fine an an RV as we have our own toilet and showers but felt a little sorry for the campers as the facilities were not great for them!
Our water and electric hookups were really far away form our site. Sites are grass and mud which is inconvenient when it rains. Since it was after Labor Day the pool was understandably closed. Mini golf was unplayable. It was a fairly quiet low key weekend but people do not follow quiet time at all and partied until well after 1am. The trails around the site are nice but clearly marked as walking trails yet you have to dodge people on their carts. Super convenient location!
Stayed there from Friday to Sunday only saw the girl in the office and one other worker the whole weekend. We normally enjoy camping there but this time the other campers had no respect for the rules. Dogs off leash or respecting the quiet hours. Had people partying until 4am and dogs wondering into our site.
Excellent campground! Lots for the kids to do. The pool and playground are nice, and theres a little camp store. Full hookup sites are a nice amenity. Very close to everything you would want to do in Ithaca.
Told maintenance about 30 amp plug had reverse polarity, he plugged in his pocket tested wiggle it around says ok now plugged my device in .told maintenance plug needs to be replaced says he would take care of it. When we were leaving I tried to unplug my device had to really yank it out loose connection that I told them of melted my device. Reported to office they said they would contact me ,never heard a word from the owner .so in that respect I have to give them a poor rating . So if they tell you they will take care of it don't believe them . I told maintenance I would replace it because I work at a campground I Delaware.
Not a very good experience! Pot holes were terrible driving in, miniature golf is run down and not usable, water smells with a high chlorine content, muddy sites, and we couldn't believe how management allows seasonal campers to have such cluttered, messy sites!! Most of the campers were wayyyy too close to each other. Won't be returning!!
Stayed for 2 nights in our camper. The grounds were nice and maintained. You can tell the owners really care about the facilities and the grounds. Did not see any washers and dryers though but there were toilets and showers throughout the camp ground. There was events all weekend at the camp grounds for all ages, which was nice for it being early in the camping season, and it was a lot of fun! The camp store has all the essentials and then some as well. Met friends that rented a camper from the grounds and the Camper was nice and clean. We rented a golf cart and it was fun cruising around the camp ground and see the little spots on the grounds! Taughannock state park is 2 miles from the camp ground and is a go to waterfall/park! The camp ground is 10-15 min from the town of Ithaca but dark enough that we could see the stars and lunar eclipse last night!
We spent this past weekend here. I agree with so many of the comments, friendly staff, well taken care of grounds. However, the bathhouses are extremely out dated. While showering in a tight, cold drafty space where the water went icy when someone got in the shower room next to me. It was unpleasant. Also, as dressing I realized the door had so many gaps I could see out. Therefore someone else could see in if they chose. If in the area we will definitely go back, if we can get a full hook up so I do not have to go in that shower again!
Hey friends. This seems like a fun spot if you're with your own rig. Especially if you're looking to meet some folks or have kiddos. If you're tenting, and want a chill vibe, you might want to look elsewhere. Restrooms were pretty untidy and small--a women's room had a big clog upon entry but they took care of it quick. Super tight sites, lot of carousing and noise on a friday summer night, but that's to be expected and if a little of that is your game you'll enjoy. Kiddos seemed to be having a super great time.
