This medical group's frontline staff is horrific. I visited the office today, 8/11/23 for my daughter's appt and they double booked the doctor, or Dr. Stum left. Instead of communicating the truth they fabricated an issue to force my daughter to see a provider she has never met. This type of behavior is unacceptable in a doctors office and playing musical doctors in NOT a thing! Jumping from Dr to Dr is often time how people get misdiagnosed, issues overlooked, and sometime have a fatal ending because none of the 10,000 doctors you seen from week to week really know anything about you. When your doctor doesn't know anything about you they miss stuff! Historically, Black women die at the hand of white providers because if we don't look like we are about to break in half white providers the nurses and doctors dismiss your concerns. So while Dr. Strum is a women of color, she has been informed by us prior that her front line staff is abrasive, condescending, disrespectful, disregarding, and fabricators, its been 4 years at this point, were done! Nor would I recommend that new clients come to this office. They are lazy, disorganized and just flat out clowns!
Except couple of doctor whole staff including check in clerk are not doing their job properly. Can’t even take a pic of insurance card and update the system. Billing department is one step further worse than physical office. Submitting wrong claim number to wrong address and generate the bill and post on my chart. I can’t continue auto payment else without my knowledge they can keep charging my bank without knowing the fact.
Making me see my primary care when she wasn't available earlier in the year and I had to see a nurse practitioner instead. I don't want to pay for a second visit simply because YOUR doctor wasn't available at the time. I'm done with going here. Poor communication and snotty staff.
This was my mother’s first appt with Dr. York. He was pleasant and patient and listened to all of her concerns. He was very knowledgeable about her neurological condition and took the time to talk to her about it along with her other issues even though she has a neurologist treating her for that. Seemed to consider her overall health plan, not just what he was treating. We also liked how accessible the building was; it was easy to drop her off and park. Staff were efficient and kind. Very good experience for us
I see Dr. York, and he is the most professional Doctor Ive ever seen. He is kind, and actually LISTENS to the patient. 100 percent recommend this entire office. Ive heard nothing but good things about all the Docs at this specific location. The office staff and people at the front desk have always been very nice and efficient.
The virtual meeting had the same quality experience that I would get in the office. We covered everything along with getting to the route of the problem. Dr. Sturm is an excellent doctor with years of experience in caring for her patients. How she interacts with her patients can't be taught in a classroom. Exceptional service as always
Great place to be seen. Helpful and courteous and always on time. Dr. York is the best Dr I have had in my adulthood. He is thorough, and thoughtful. Takes his time with patients. The best!
Dr. Timothy Jennings, the G.O.A.T. Great bedside manners and very conscious of safety and health risks. I've been coming to him for years and he explains everything to you and make you comfortable like a member of his family. Good, good man and great physician!!
Friendly greeting and quick check in process. Convenient X-ray service next door and blood work place around the corner. Got a call back the same day with test results! Great service.
I received a bill for services preformed 5/14/21 by my doctor. The claim processed with UHC on 5/21/21. My portion for the visit was $26.99. I received a bill from SSM Health Medical Group shortly thereafter, which I paid on 6/25/21 via InstaMed InstaMed is a JP Morgan Company, and the platform United Healthcare uses so you can pay your bill online from the myuhc.com website. The money cleared my checking account on 6/28/21. In the short time since I saw my Dr., the claim was processed, and the bill paid, I've received multiple statements, and harassing phone calls concerning my "past due" bill. I've called the number on the invoice and was treated poorly to say to the least by the Representative I spoke with. I was eventually given an email address for a supervisor, but told I could not be transferred to one. I was informed I needed to send a copy of their invoice, receipt from InstaMed, and proof the money cleared my account. I provided this on 7/6/21. No response, no phone call, but I continue to be harassed by SSM Health Medical Group. I paid this bill 5 weeks after it processed with UHC, not 5 weeks after it was invoiced and dropped in the mail. It was paid 4 weeks after it was invoiced, 3 weeks after it was received in the mail. It's disgracefully to treat customers in this way. I literally paid the bill right after receiving it and was treated like a delinquent. It was terrible, and extremely unprofessional! If I didn't like my doctor I would not use SSM Health Medical Group simply to avoid their poorly trained and unprofessional billing staff!
