Dr. Payne received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist.
Dr. Payne is both nationally and internationally known as a thought leader in benign robotic assisted gynecologic surgery. He is honored to serve as medical director of Texas Institute for Robotic Surgery. He has authored both book chapters and several journal articles in the field of gynecologic surgery. He serves as faculty for conferences around the globe and has enjoyed the privilege of educating hundreds of his fellow surgeons in the field of robotic surgery. His primary passion is to teach, assist and perform complex surgery for the female patient.
