St John Labor and Delivery

The over all stay was great. I loved all the nurses and dr’s and staff for the most part. However I HATED the lactation consultant. St. John’s needs to find a new one. She came in my room twice. Or I guess 3 times. She always had gum in her mouth. Her over all attitude was not friendly. The first time she came in my room I had asked to see her because it had been a whole day and I hadn’t seen her, but she came in when I was sleeping so she left. Like I just had a new born so excuse me for sleeping but I really need to talk to you so you should have woken me up. At least that’s what she said happened, but honestly I’m a light sleeper. You basically walk in the room and I’m awake. So I don’t know that I believe her. Than when I did speak to her. She did help me figure out how to get my daughter to latch because the second day my baby girl and I were struggling. She made an unnecessary comment about how I looked 18, not 25. I am 25. She had to have seen my birthday on paperwork because she is the one that brought up that I was 25, so it was just an unnecessary rude comment. I asked her about how to use the breast pump and she wouldn’t show me. She said she would show me on my last day there. Then came in 5 minutes before I was suppose to leave. Then quickly said a bunch of stuff that like honestly I was not going to retain. Never showed me at all. I had the breast pump with me. Like I said I HATED her.

These ladies were all so amazing in labor and delivery! Especially Hannah night shift and Dr Dietz. The vibe in the OR during the C-section was so upbeat and encouraging! They truly care about their patients and it shows! Also all the ladies in postpartum care are amazing! I was nervous about having my baby in the nursery without me but also needed help and asked them to take him. I was met with so much compassion and understanding. I knew they would take the best care of him. Forever grateful for my experience here and I would %100 come back if we have another child.

I have had the most amazing experience with labor/delivery & post partum. The nurses here have been so amazing to me & i truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first. I will definitely use them for any future pregnancies.

Loved all the staff, they were so sweet and helpful. The only thing that I had a problem with was we never got my daughters birth certificate or social security number because our file sat for so long and they took my daughters father off the birth certificate because it sat so long

I recorded thank god, but my whole birth plan was disregarded and I was disrespected the entire time with no help. I’d rather deliver in a bathroom next time then go here again
