This has been the best experience hands down, Ever in any hospital in my entire lifetime. From the moment I walked in with my daughter,the attention was wonderful. We were not done with registration when we were called in to triage and right away we were taken to a room. Less than 5 minutes later a x-ray specialist came and got her before she had settled in her room again after x-rays the physician came in and less than 10 minutes later the results were in. All in all we were there for less than an hour and well taken care of. Thank you to all the Nurses and Doctor that gave the best attention to my daughter.
This is an excellent ER. They were very compassionate and professional. All the staff were very friendly. My doctors, nurses, xray tech, and ct tech. It was the best visit at an ER room that I ever had. They took me back right away. There was no waiting. If I ever need another ER visit I will definitely go to Ascension St. Johns ER at 23 mile and Romeo Plank.
Would give no starts if I could. I went into this ER this evening with symptoms of a concussion. Dr, John Douglas Wheaton was the doctor on call. He dismissed me without a single care or concern for me at all. I was there all of 10 minutes! I even fell to the floor as I was leaving as my body was weak from, you guessed it, a concussion. I left there and immediately went to Beaumont-Troy, thank goodness they actually care. I was seen and taken care of very quickly and diagnosed with a pretty bad concussion. Thank goodness for Beaumont nurses and doctors, since the ones here literally couldn't care less. Shame on all of them for watching me fall to the floor and not even do anything. I will be contacting BBB as well as reporting them with the heath board and whoever else I need to. I am SO lucky there was no brain bleed and that I KNEW something was wrong with me, cause if it had beef any worse that "doctor" would have let me die. Shame on him. Shame on all of them. Such disgusting malpractice. A lawyer will definitely be connected in regards to this matter as well.
Took our little one in with RSV when her temp spiked and meds weren't working. The doctor and nurses we dealt with did a great job. They were friendly, compassionate and seemed to know what they were doing. Lost one star because the lady checking us in Suzanne was very abrupt and rude to us when there was no reason to be. Maybe she was having a bad day or something but as parents worried about our infant that definitely added to our stress. She also had never heard of RSV, which didn't really instill confidence in us right off the bat. We actually almost left right then to try and find another ER but we're new to the area and didn't know where to go. Overall it was a good experience as they were able to help us get her temperature down etc.
Staff was very nice and I was seen quickly. However the room was uncomfortably cold despite the very thin blankets you get. I was suppose to get medication to take home/a prescription and it was forgotten about. Also, when my IV was put in it was very painful and the needle was left in the entire duration that it was in my arm. As the nurse was in the process of putting my IV in, she left the room because she forgot some equipment which left me in discomfort. I mentioned many times that it was very painful and uncomfortable. Overall care was fine but felt rushed and flustered.
Dr Laura was AMAZING! I wish more doctors were as straight forward as she was. Made sure my daughter got THE BEST care. After we left my daughter asked if she could be her new doctor! Thanks again Doc
Dr. Wheaton was very thorough with my care. He is very nice and his bedside manner is exceptional. Listened attentively to all of my concerns and explained everything in detail. The nursing staff was very nice, prompt and they made sure that everything was done in a timely manner as well as Dr. Wheaton. The technicians were also very nice and made me feel comfortable with doing testing. All in all I have no complaints during my emergency care @ Ascension St. John.
The staff was nice and the doctors but I know my body, I told them to check for blood clots do to my history and I could tell I was having deeper internal pain. They just did a x ray and a muscle relaxer shot that didn't work. They didn't even treat my uc or give me any medications that were needed. Next day I found out I had pulmonary embolism blood clot in my left lung. I guess it's more like a urgent care emergency room do to there lack of staff and available treatment. I liked my doctor besides them problems.
I was seen almost immediately at midnight, I had a bladder infection, and they told me. I was seen quickly diagnosed quickly, given the proper medication and directions and I was on my way. I couldn’t ask for a better healthcare. 5 stars for this facility and the wonderful people who took care of me….thank you so much!
Went in for broken foot.. thankfully ended up just being a sprain. Everything took about 2.5 hours. Nurse never came back after getting me in my room, left me just sitting there in a wheel chair.. Was freezing, thirsty, hoping for some ice for my foot and unable to move around on my own. After sitting for an hour alone.. Got x rays. 1 or 2 later got results, pain meds n dis charged.
