Dr McCormick did a great job, removing cancer from inside my ear. He new the right path to take in removing and grafting the wound. It looks better than my other ear. He was good at explaining the procedure he felt best at moving the cancer. Thanks
Dr. Gilbert did an amazing job with my surgery. I recovered pretty quickly. I was most impressed with his honesty, his listening skills, and especially his caring about my desired outcome of the surgery. It was a little complicated, but he coordinated care with other specialists, took extra time to make sure I could meet everyone who might be involved, presented the possibilities to me and let me choose what I thought was best. My decisions were respected. If I had a concern he took it seriously. He validated the things I noticed and didn’t minimize them. He communicated well and was responsive. He answered all of my questions and I had a lot of them. He was patient, thorough, honest, humble, and he does good work.
I am giving them two stars because I did enjoy working with Dr Gilbert but I really should give them a one star review. I have been going to this office for the last two years with my 3 year old son who has constant ear issues and has had two surgeries with Dr Gilbert. When I actually get to see the doctor things are great. Dr Gilbert listens to me as a parent and provides me with great information and multiple options of care. The staff and operations however are absolutely horrible. The front desk ladies are rude, cold and condescending. There is a severe lack of organization in the office. I never get direct answers to my questions and always feel like I am bothering anyone if I dare ask questions. The hearing test is a joke for young children and I feel like they do not know how to handle a child of my sons age. I walked away from all three hearing tests feeling judged by the specialist because I couldn’t make my three year old sit through their tests. I understand that they can’t adequately test my sons hearing if he is not cooperating however it was the way they made me feel each time they couldn’t get results. I have spent hours waiting at this facility wether it is to be called back or to be seen by the doctor. I have walked out of this office on more than one occasion after waiting over an hour to be seen while in the actual exam room. I tried calling when my son spiked a 105 fever the day after his surgery. Leaving a message on the emergency line but it took them 4 days to call me back. I ended up going to another doctor when this happened. My son had so many constant issues I kept going back because I felt I had no other options but I finally couldn’t take it anymore and got a referral to another office. Thank you Dr Gilbert for what relief you did provide for my son but I will not be back to this establishment.
I didn’t even make it past scheduling appointments because the lady who schedules the allergy testing was so rude on the phone that I decided not to. I was trying to look at my schedule and she was getting upset with me because I didn’t know it off the top of my head And then when I was letting her know what I had talked about with another nice lady there she was telling me that she has no idea who I talked to because she’s the only one I could’ve talked to, basically implying that I’m a liar. If you’re going to have somebody at your front desk scheduling appointments for new patients you should probably have somebody a little nicer . I’m not sure what’s going on in healthcare these days but it’s so hard to find some people that treat you like your wanted patient.
My wife had an appointment with audiologist here. Drove over an hour to be there. Was told to wear a mask. She has a religious exemption from doing so. She asked for reasonable accommodation and even said she would wait in her vehicle. Dr. Erik Gilbert refused her any services and told her to leave the premises. Do not support this or any establishment that encroaches on the rights of their patients/customers. We will not be using their services and direct all we know to do the same. Disgraceful behavior from a medical services establishment that claims the name of such a great Saint. Definitely does not live up to its name. Yet another example of how none of these tyrannical requirements are about your health.
Dr. McCormick is an excellent ENT physician that inspires confidence in his judgment and skills. The Audiologist, Dr. Ryan, was very pleasant and helpful as well.
My 4 year old saw Dr. Gardner today to clean out some ear wax from wearing hearing aides and was immediately impressed by his friendly demeanor and casual approach. The doctors can be a scary place for kids and my son was immediately as ease. Dr. Gardner was friendly and personable and a professional. We were happy to hear he was new to the practice and would be around for a long time. We plan on having him be my sons doctor from now on!
I have been incredibly happy with the care I have received here! Dr. Detar has been stellar and taken the time to answer any and all questions and concerns I have had. The admin staff is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this practice for all of your ear, nose and throat needs!
I’m having an acute issue with my left ear and I am in complete misery and my regular ENT couldn’t see me so I called EVERY ENT in town and these wonderful people were the ONLY ones willing to give me an appointment. I cannot express how this simple act of kindness affects me, I am forever grateful to you wonderful people. Kindness matters and that’s what I received in a time of great need. Thank you so much to the wonderful scheduler I spoke to I cannot remember her name but it started with a C…thank you so much kind scheduler lady I appreciate you!!!!
Love St Josephs Ears, Nose and Throat clinic and all staff. From the friendly warm and caring receptionist, to the sweet nurses, kind audiologist and the amazing Dr. DeTar!!! I'd imagine the other doc is equally great :. Never have had such a thorough, caring and considerate doctor. Well other than my primary who referred me!! But seriously I've had more than my fair share of Dr's that could care less and it showed. So needless to say I'm very thankful to be in such capable and caring hands. Really do recommend them to anyone in need of care and I will continue to as well.
