The Women Center offers compassionate patient care. It would be nice if they would send the results of mammograms in the mail or call to share the results, even when all is well.
This is my second pregnancy and I know what to expect for prenatal visits. they did not draw my blood for my first prenatal visit. They almost forgot the urine sample. The midwife did a ultrasound that lasted about two minutes. I read the notes on my chart and most of the notes on there were FALSE. Nothing on the notes we're discussed. Do not recommend for prenatal visits . They do not care about you and your needs!! Very upsetting after having to take a 4 hour round trip for this visit that I was looking forward to.
this hospital is awful. it seems like it’s gone downhill, as i was recommended this location from my sister when i was pregnant. in 2020 i went here, first appt was normal; gave me an estimated due date, ultrasound, etc. second appointment, unfortunately no heartbeat. my midwife did not even remember if there was a heartbeat last time and once confirmed with another ultrasound that there was not this time, they sent me off with pills to pass the fetus and i never heard from them again. no follow up appointment, i felt extremely unimportant to them. this is shocking considering i chose a midwife rather than an OB i’m now 8 months and went to IMC in murray, i love it there!! i just wanna save other young mothers from this place.
I gave birth 7 months ago here and my experience was amazing. I had mckinlee as a nurse and he was perfect. I seriously couldn’t have asked for someone better. He has amazing energy and made my labor and delivery as comfortable as possible. I’m so sad he’s gone traveling now: what a loss for st marks. Dr Kinghorn is also incredible. I’m so happy for everyone I had help me bring my son into this world. I am forever grateful
Melodie did my mammogram here and she was very professional and kind. I recommend St. Mark's Women's Center. Update: Whereas a year ago I thought this was a five star experience, I am reducing this to one star this year. They did a left breast biopsy Dec. 6, 2022, and double-charged me for two breast biopsies on both breasts. I did not have a right breast biopsy. Their billing department said they would resubmit the bill to my insurance. They submitted it again, again for two biopsies. I have again requested their billing department to correct this and they are conducting a second internal audit, so hopefully they will correct it eventually, but the double billing has cost me much time on phone calls and emails, and many nights of lost sleep from unintentionally thinking about the injustice of it in spite of my best efforts not to think about it. If you are going to them for a biopsy, please consider going somewhere else; in case they would do the same thing to you that they did to me, I hope to protect you reading this from being falsely charged the way I have been. Thank you for reading this.
I had my first child here in 2013 and had a wonderful experience. I came back February of 2022 to get an annual check up with a midwife and it was an AWFUL experience. I had issue after issue and am extremely upset with the staff at this hospital. 1st off, they didn't notify me that they did not take my insurance until they tried to push through a mammogram and ultrasound for me. 2nd, They sent my prescription to the wrong place. Even though I gave the doctor the address for where I wanted it sent verbally AND in my paperwork they made me fill out. Normally this would not be a big deal, but I called 4 times to get it fixed. Each time they would only offer to send me to the nurses assistant. Each time I left a VM. Never received a call back. 3rd, because they were out of network with my insurance, I had to schedule an annual else where, so that I could get that mammogram and ultrasound. This new location asked for my test results from St. Marks. I called St Mark's again to get these, as I never received them. They had no problem sending me a bill though, I got it about 7 days after my visit and it was the only communication I got from them They again, wanted me to leave a VM for the assistant. I refused and expressed that she would not give me a call back. They told me that they would reach out to the correct people and have them call me for my results. Surprise surprise, I never heard back from them. Speed up to my annual with a new hospital, and my results came back abnormal. I needed Antibiotics. Not only did St Marks never notify me of the problem, they didn't prescribe me any antibiotics. It's been over a month, still no call, no results, etc. I never write reviews, but felt compelled to as this is the worst experience I have ever had, anywhere, and I don't recommend any woman goes here.
We took the birthing class this weekend. We had a great experience! The class was very informative and or instructor, Tawna, did a great job helping us feel more prepared and understand the upcoming labor and delivery. I had to add and update because we had our baby a little over a week ago and had a really great experience. I ended up having an emergency C-section and all the doctors and nurses took amazing care of me, my baby and my husband. They made a potentially scary situation really calm and helped us learn a lot in our first few days with our baby.
I’ve seen Kira Waters 3 times and have loved her every time! I always feel heard and validated and extremely cared for! The check in and wait time is usually a little slow but it’s worth the wait to see providers who have the best intentions for you and want the best outcomes and results!
Absolutely horrible. These nurses should feel ashamed for the way they treat some of their patients. They really gave my friend an epidural as she was having a contraction. One nurse tried to tell me that my friend wasn't in any pain as she was crying out in pain. They tried to discharge her the next morning 17 hours after she jurst gave birth and only kept her another night because a phone call was made to the hospital asking what the hell they were doing. They discharged my friend anyways, but they did let her stay one more night. They told her to take over the counter ibuprofen for the pain. Because child birth must be just like a headache i guess? Absolutely horrible and so sickening.
Don't go here. I had a SCAD heart attack at St. Mark's and it wasn't treated for over 8 hours of labor out of concern for the baby. Leslie Ostler was my OBGYN and Dr. Vernon Yamashiro was the one who ignored my chest pain without running any tests. I now have less than 40 percent heart function, and EF of 40 EF is a measure of the heart's pumping action. If my heart attack was caught earlier I wouldn't be trying to raise a baby with heart failure. I had been vaccinated for COVID-19 by Pfizer and attended all my pre-natal appointments.
