Beautiful and historic parish. Have heard through the grapevine that the head pastor has recently removed the option to receive Holy Communion while kneeing at the altar rail. If true, I’d love to hear this addressed publicly, although it seems as in other places within the Archdiocese it’s little more than appeasing Cardinal Cupich in his quest for renewing the silly season within the Church.
Had our wedding at St. Paul and will be joining the parish this fall. The wedding planning went smoothly with Monika in the main office, Ed with the music, and Father Nick. They provided a planner for the rehearsal and day of - Kim - and she did a great job. Would highly recommend having a wedding here - the church is beautiful, the wedding ceremony was great, and they help make the entire process very simplified.
St. Paul of the cross in park ridge IL is like old chicago church's of the old with pipe organ and church bells go off on the hour and half hour great people nice church
So me and my wife my son came to st Paul church on Christmas eve at 3 pm we got here 30 minutes earlier so we stand i starting looking around and know it everyone is looking at there phones if u come to house of God . You pay attention to priest . If phone is more important then just stay home I don't think we be coming back at Paul anymore
I grew up at St Paul. Attended school there, graduated. Was an alter boy. Loved every minute. Monsenior Duffin was the pastor then. It was a great place to grow up….all my siblings grew up there. I am sure it still is a great place.
Beautiful church! Felt very safe here. Lots of covid policies in place. Temp. Checks, hand sanitizers, assigned seating, alternating rows e.t.c.. served mass. Priest was pleasant send spoke so all could be heard. Lovely memorial service.
Being of no religious denomination, must say this is a beautiful church. Never being here, today I attended one of my best friend's wedding- but what disappointment on the priest's behavior who apparently thought today's celebration was about him and his 'script' instead of concentrating on making this couple's most important day one to remember. And remember we will: from constantly scorning the photographers, to even calling the poor church girls on making the sin of 'messing' up the roses' timing, this priest and church is probably one of the most stressful I've ever been. It is not about you Mr Hindi priest, but about this couple's most important day celebrating in their House of God choice. Very disrespectful, and although I don't share on this house's religious views I could picture 'God' shaking its head on this priest's huge ego-self performance.
I'm new to the area since April of this year. I'm very very pleased to be able to attend communion whenever I feel the need to be closer to the Lord. Morning services are very much appreciated on my behalf.
I was there attending a funeral for my neighbor who just passed away. It was a great mass, well organized from beginning to end. I was quite moved when the grand children reminiscent about their grandpa.
Nice church. Go downstairs if you want to partake in a more lively mass. It's all the kids the music is upbeat. And it's not drone on long-drawn-out music like there is upstairs.
