Home of the “Best Huckleberry Shake” certainly lived up to the name. The gas station-eatery-coffee shop-icecream shop also has shopping Montana items. And, it also has a play area complete with a dogpark! Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, huge collection of travel friendly packages food. Plus huckleberry everything! Very interesting store indeed. Good parking at the back. Gas pumps are many with enough space for RVs.
Great location, great service, perfect rest stop. Stopped twice during glacier NP trip. Both times got coffee, burger, hotdog from the grill, awesome!! Don’t miss the trout aquarium.
WOW Daughter suggested we stop on our way to Washington. Said they make the best Huckleberrie milkshakes. Signs along highway also reminding me of that. The pumps were very busy and lots of people walking around outside. Friday around 1 on a long weekend. Saw the spot to order the takeout orders and walked up and was served right away. Friendly service and fast. Ordered a huckleberry milkshake. Lots of berrys and topped off with whip cream. The hamburger was cooked just right with a huckleberry sauce on top of the cheese along with the greenest lettuce. Two slices of perfect tomatoes. Topped off with two slices of tasty pickles. The fries were hot and fried just right. The hot dawg was grilled and was a treat for daughters dog kids. As I was waiting they gave me a round circle that lights up and vibrates when order is ready. Went to washroom and walked around the shopping area. Lots of really neat things. Fudge, more ice cream and gifts. Clothes and funky slippers. Pretty soon the circle was vibrating and went to the pickup window. They prepared milkshake right away. Heaven awaits u first pull from straw. Got out too vehicle and desided to leave heading west about a mile turned off of highway to a spot beside river. Only a truck with two people parked. Daughter got out and took her yorkies for a cool down at river and a potty break. There is a doggy park across street from Travel Centre but with the little male and teacup yorkie desided to save the other dogs from all the noise. Really good idea. The travel centre was very clean and had lots of staff to help with your purchases. The next time driving by will be a definite stop. Deserves more stars to make up for the ones that gave hardly any stars.
I have loved stopping here but after a long day driving I wanted to get some food while charging my car. There were 5 people ahead of me while I stood in line and the girl took my order. To my surprise; the huckleberry turkey sandwich that is pretty much sold anywhere in Montana took 40 mins. A bunch of tots tossed in fryers and turkey and lettuce with some huckleberry sauce took over 40 mins. I find the wait time was absurd especially with no communication from staff. 4 people were making huckleberry shakes back to back but who knows how many people were cooking in the kitchen. They were working without communication at all. There were a group of people waiting for the same time as me but I had placed my order before them and several other people got their orders before I did. I asked how come they got the order before I did and the guy said “Oh, I don’t know.” Nobody apologizes. Nobody explained why. Even when one of the guys from the group went up to ask why his GF BLT took so long, he didn’t get the answer but once it was done, one of the girls said “who’s asking for that food?” As of it was his fault for asking. We were waiting too long to get a simple thing of a to-go meal to eat. I’m sure they couldn’t careless about the review but if you are traveling here, be mindful of the wait. Food is too ordinary to wait 40 mins for.
FANTASTIC place to stop on a road trip! The Jasper's restaurant that's attached is freaking amazing and the shop is fantastic! Great to stretch legs and do some touristy shopping. They have a fish tank which is fun to look at for a little bit and would be great for kiddos to look at. The coffee shop is great and all the huckleberry stuff you can think of! One of my favorite stopson the trip to Washington
This is a great place to stop by to get gas, souvenirs, and a meal. There are tons of things to look at in the gift shop. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I joked with the cashier that I better leave before I go broke. I only stopped because I needed to use the restroom. She smiled and said, "Oh my, that was me three years ago. I stopped in and never left. I moved here and loved it ever since!"
Loved it, as always! The gift shop is full of awesome things. I found this one sign that had me cracking up laughing. We also stopped at the food place their and I got chicken strips. Four GINORMOUS chicken strips with a bunch of fries. Needless to say, I got a to go box. It was amazing, and the chocolate shake I got was delicious as well. My mom said the lobster bisque, which was the special, was very good as well.
Had the most wonderful first time experience visiting this place. Staff member Kris I believe that was her name, she had pink highlights went above and beyond to make sure my son and I were taken care of after encountering a minor hiccup. The huckleberry milkshakes are to.die.for. and store has so many fun things to look at. Spent almost 1hr here during our 7hr road trip and will definitely stop by again on our way back. Can't recommend this place enough.
So the road side sign game is on point. They have tons of billboards that say “worlds best milkshake”. Bet. So we obviously had to try it…for science of course. This little cafe in this random gas station was *amazing*. The onion rings and huckleberry milkshake are worth any detour you may need to make. Such an incredibly pleasant surprise and they also have a massive gift shop, lots of gas pumps and such a neat random gas station that honestly is worth a review!
Burger was cheap and good. Nice roll, fresh fixings and a perfectly seared patty. Great service. The huckleberry shake was well made but not for me.
