So many different ways to experience this park. There was the seawall that went on forever, views of the city skyline across the water, old growth trees, replicas of several First Nations carved poles retelling their history, walking trails, bike paths, sports activities, restaurants, and more. This is such a wonderful park. I really wish I had more time to enjoy all that it has to offer before flying out. Highly recommend! Playground: There are at least 4 designated children's play areas in addition to several beach areas that children would enjoy. A miniature railroad may also be of interest to children. Restrooms: Many restroom facilities scattered about the park. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed on leash within the park. There is also an off leash area for small dogs and an off leash dog beach. Picnic area: There is a designated picnic area near prospect point.
Absolutely one of my favourite places ever. You can walk, skate, or bike around the seawall, and you'll see gorgeous sights all around. It's about 10km around, so it'll take you 1-3 hours depending on your pace. Lots of bike rentals nearby, as well as restaurants and cafes. Restrooms: Very few restrooms are available in the area, though some need to remember to leash them. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of people bring their dogs.
Stanley Park is a magnificent green oasis in the midst of the urban landscape of Vancouver. The 400-hectare natural West Coast rainforest offers scenic views of water, mountains, sky, and majestic trees along Stanley Park's famous Seawall. It also has kilometres of trails, beautiful beaches, local wildlife, great eats, natural, cultural and historical landmarks, along with many other adventures. The park offers a wide range of unforgettable experiences for all ages and interests, including Canada’s largest aquarium. Playground: Good Dog-friendliness: Friendly Picnic area: Lush
Beautiful park… highly recommend biking along the bike path that goes around the perimeter of the park. Gorgeous views! Rent a cruiser bike and you’ll have a lovely time! You’ll be able to cover it within two hours, including pit stops for photos.
I wish i have more time to walk around this park. It is huge and so pretty. Love the Lost Lagoon and swimming pool. Bikers are a bit too complicated to rent. You guys should make it easier for everyone to access.
Stanley Park is a very cool place to see. Today we rented bikes through the Mobi app and cycled around the seawall. There are two lighthouses, some playgrounds, totems, beaches, and a variety of things to see. We went later in the afternoon so the sun setting over the ocean was so beautiful to see. We had thought about doing the horse drawn carts but at 68.00 a person for one hour...it was just too steep. The bikes were a better option for freedom and flexibility.
This place is incredible. Sooooo many biking and walking paths! Gorgeous views of the city and ocean. Saw seals and lots of seabirds. Highly recommend renting a bike so you can see a lot of the park. Prices for the bike rentals were pretty high at the stations so maybe check out one of the local shops. Restaurant options throughout and even beach access. Great place for a date, to take family or go for a stroll to clear your head.
An incredibly gorgeous place to walk/bike/scooter! We biked and it took about an hour and a half to get through the whole thing. It was nice to have the bike path separated from the walking path. There are many places you can rent a bike/scooter from. We went to “bikes and blades” and got bikes for $7/hour per person. We are definitely doing this again!
You could rent e-scooters or bikes and go around the island during sunset, it’s the most beautiful and romantic thing to do. When you turn the corner crossing under the Lions Gate bridge, you get this magnificent view of the ocean, the high sea wall with the bridge above you, the pictures don’t even do it justice. My favourite place in Vancouver.
Chose a very wrong day to be here but still stunning ! It was raining but still got some amazing misty Lions gate bridge views ! I can imagine this being a great spot for running and biking ! Paid parking spots available! It is home to the wonderful Vancouver Aquarium as well : Would love to be here again soon in hopefully better weather :
