We've stayed at the Starke KOA a lot, and we love it! It does feel like family. Beautiful pool, awesome nature trails. 2 laundry rooms, so there is usually empty machines available at all times. And of course the office always has quarters! Happy is always doing fun stuff for the kids & adults alike! Close to Gainesville & Jacksonville, and the new Aldi's store is right next door in the plaza. Bingo in the rec hall during the winter too. Very animal friendly & great staff! We'll be back soon!
This was just an overnight stay for us, but the campground was nice. We were heading back north so we winterized and needed to use their bathrooms to shower. Everything was nice and clean. Staff very friendly. They were having a s’mores night for campers and although we didn’t participate from a long day of traveling, many did. It was nice to see fellow campers get together and laugh and have a good time.
This is by far the rudest owner of a koa I have ever seen, they say they have rules l, but or it seems to only apply to some but not others. Since I do not have hudge camper and are not part of the click and straight we do not fit in. The bathroom has paint falling from the dirty vents. They have wood shelf's in the shower that are full of some nasty stuff on them, the floor it brick and the showers are dirty filled with bugs. The dogs bark all day and night . The mortor cycle that people have out for display on the grass, we were told not to park on the grass. Several people do it though. Sorry would have given this place more stars but after the way the owner treated me I would never come here again. Not a very good representation of koa.
I should have took a picture but they do have some trees out there instead of the place being completely stripped of vegetation nice camp grounds not a lot of stuff around it's a good restaurant a little bar around the corner with live place let's go back againService: 5/5
Enjoyed our overnight stay. Roomy camp sites. Friendly staff. $3.00 breakfast was a treat. Only complaint is piles of dog poop on our campsite near our travel trailer. Dog leash stake was still on the campsite from the former camper.
We travel and stay at many parks around the country. We stayed here for about 3 weeks. This place was by far the most inclusive and friendly place we have had the privilege to stay. Not only did both guest and employees treat us like family, we felt like family. Add all of that to the great community events like wine and cheese Friday and you pretty much get the best camp experience possible. Side note: Our 8 year old peanut wanted to say hi to Jelly. he is going to miss you. A special thank you to Miss Phillis and Happy. You guys really know how to do this and your love shows through!
Our first ever stay at a KOA and found it more than satisfactory. The staff escorted us to our site and ensured all services were in order. Site was sufficient size and oriented for easy pull thru with 70 foot length Safety: We used no facilities and left early the following morning but we felt entirely safe at this facility
We originally were booked for 1 night on our way back home to Charleston. The forecast called for rain, so we decided to stay 1 more night, not wanting to drive in rain. They were able to accommodate that request. Both nights were quite, the site was spacious, and the staff is friendly. We enjoyed watching the swans on the lake. They have free john boat rental, but did not get a chance to use because of the rain. Easy to get to from the interstate. We would stay here again.
Well run campground! Welcoming and helpful staff especially Tammy at front office! Very organized and clean grounds. Located next door to a shopping center with Aldi, Tractor Supply and a Dick’s Wings restaurant that had excellent wings! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Nice quiet park. Several snow bird couples camp here and Are very friendly. We enjoyed our stay here.
