We are a locally owned and operated, full-service custom framing shop, serving individuals, businesses, and the artist community since 1995.
Our friendly, experienced staff are certified by the Professional Picture Framers Association.
We also feature area artists' work in a variety of media, in our in-house gallery space.

John provided superb, custom craftmanship and attention to detail and was extremely helpful in selecting the perfect frame for our piece. I couldn't be happier! Thank you!
They do excellent work and treat your piece as if it was priceless. I’m very happy with how the framing turned out and they were able to give it some new life. The slate was my grandparents and held tremendous sentimental value and it unfortunately got broken we I moved and they were able to put it back together for me and frame it for safe keeping.
In short, the State College Framing Co. is the very best around!! I first visited to create reproductions of my paintings and was immediately impressed with both their staff as well as the facilities/equipment. I mostly worked with Kevin who was able to accurately photograph my works, edit them on Photoshop, and produce extremely high quality prints. All for a very reasonable price. Since making these print editions, I've actually had friends from across the State ask me where I get them made because they've had such trouble finding a good shop elsewhere. Beyond the printing aspect, the team here is of course amazing at framing as well. I'm constantly impressed by not only the quality of the finished product but also their expertise in picking which frame will best compliment the work it's surrounding. These guys are pros, no question about it. And as a final note, they're all just great people! Kind, patient, and very encouraging to artists. It's been a pleasure working with everyone at the Framing Co and I recommend their services at any given opportunity. Attached is an example of their framing work
I am very new to the “artist world”. John and Kevin guided me, encouraged me and educated me on what I needed to do. The quality of their work is outstanding. Top notch service and very professional. When I am at the shop with my latest project I always enjoy strolling the gallery, if you have never visited the gallery, I highly recommend it. Thanks so much John for all of your help

Since moving to State College in 2017, I have had a number of framing jobs done by The State College Framing Company & Gallery. Not only have these jobs been superb, but the two framing artists, John and Jeff, have gone above and beyond to make certain that I was more than happy with the results. Not only is The State College Framing Company & Gallery the only place I will go for framing, but it is also my go-to location for gifts. They have an extensive collection of original art and ceramics among other things and I have found a number of wonderful gifts for all sorts of occasions. I'm extremely grateful for everything that John and Jeff have done for me and I will certainly be back for more!
I have gotten over 50 prints made by these guys and every time they are prompt, professional and personable. They work with you to get the best possible outcome no matter the job or client. Very stoked to have found such a quality, friendly group of people to progress my art career with. Can't recommend them enough.
John spent a full hour with us and would have been willing to spend more time, I'm sure... even 30 minutes past closing hours. We had very little idea what we wanted but he was super patient and walked us through all the options and have us great advice. Seriously pleased with the service! If you need a custom frame this is the place to go.
John & his team at the State College Framing Company are FANTASTIC! I never knew there were so many different styles, designs & concepts when it came to a custom frame for our painting. John took a lot of time to explain to us every detail & never made us feel pressured. I know the end results will be outstanding & we can not wait to see the finished product.
