Swastography Studios is a small business of photography and ceramics located in Central Arkansas. I am a 23 year old graduate and I'm all about producing handmade wheel thrown vessels of quality with passion and love in the name of clay. Like the legacy of the Swasta name in all art forms, Swastography endures the learning process of pottery and how its products are made - from the wheel to the last firing of the kiln - through modern and traditional ways of ceramics in tangible form.
I specialize in making planters with plants, mugs (coffee and tall ale mugs), growlers, canisters, plates, jugs, bottles and more!
How I came up with the name Swastography Studios:
The word "Swastography" comes from an established idea of combining my last name, Swasta, and the word photography, hence I started out doing photography. Where "Studios" came in is when I discovered my love for pottery and found myself working in many endeavors in the art world and in different places and studios.
Nothing is perfect about the pottery I make, and I hate the idea of perfection. I think the word "perfect" demeans the word "handmade" because I want my creations to look handmade, but that's just my opinion.
My business is ever evolving, so keep up to date by liking my page!
