UPDATE...CLOSED DOWN....Place is dirty still even after health department closed it for a day. Thought it would be clean. No one seemed to care. Listening to mgr complain about how long it will take maintenance to come fix the well. Guess Chile is made in well for no Chile this day. Complaining about other two stores that will not help with getting grilled chicken. Burger bun was hard and cold, fries warm. Good news shake was really good.
The food I ordered was good, and so was my shake, but the wait time here the last couple times has been slow. It took awhile just to get to order our drinks, and took awhile just for someone to check on us for a refill. Noticed our food, and other orders were just sitting for awhile before someone brought them out. I love coming here, but the service needs worked on. Hopefully I can come here again, and service is improved.
The last few times that I have visited this store everything from the service to the dining room irltself has been one star quality. It's always understaffed and service can take a metric eternity to even be waited on. Went in one time to get a quick bite to eat and it turned into 2 and a half hours. The dining area is hit and miss on if it's cleaned or not and it's a gamble if you will receive clean silverware or if you need to pull the lever again and try for a clean set. The bathrooms are never cleaned and the drive through takes a metric eternity to get through. At least the wait staff isn't bad.
Fast service; friendly server; tasty food served hot; tasty shake served cold. No problems and the restaurant was more full than usual. Went again on 9/10/2017. Half the tables were dirty. There was a spilled soft drink on the floor at the table by the door. Ten minutes after coming in, another couple was seated and had orders taken. We walked out after waiting 15 minutes without our orders being taken. Mentioned our experience to the manager at the cash register as we walked out. He was oblivious to what was happening in the restaurant.
We went in at 4:50 pm. We ordered 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 shakes to go. The drive thru was 6 or 7 cars long so we thought it would be faster. We waited for about 15 minutes for our food. We asked about our shakes and were told 'yeah they're on the way', but we waited for 25 minutes after we got our food for our shakes. The waitress even came over next to us and asked the woman who came in 10 minutes after we got there to ask her how her shakes were and looked directly at me, then walked away. I waited for a few more minutes and went to ask the waitress about it. As she saw me walking towards her she started to shake her head and got annoyed with me when I asked where our shakes were that we had ordered 30 to 40 minutes ago. She then made the shakes and gave me an apology that was very insincere. We were very disappointed with our experience.
My boyfriend and I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. We went late at night to dine in and enjoy ourselves. No one acknowledged that we were even there to sit us down, we SAT ourselves after waiting for a good 10-15 minutes. No one served us after 20 minutes of sitting and waiting, and our food took a long time. We tried to maybe get a discount for our wait, but the manager was very rude, and ignored what we had to say. If I had the choice, I wouldn't rate this place at all. Horrible service, and that overnight manager needs to be FIRED. I will be reporting this place, and that manager. I still have his name :
We had such a horrible experience. Right when we walked the the staff was laughing and talking it up in their little huddle behind the soda machines. We noticed the nasty greasy floors as we slid our way to our booth. We ordered and after 25 minutes our food still had not arrived. We suggested that we just pay for our sodas and leave. With out a word or apology from the manager, we were told we could leave with out paying for the sodas. That was it. We didn't get to eat. Just sent away. The only positive was that our waitress was nice and brought our sodas out in a timely manner.
My daughter and I ate lunch here today. It took 5 minutes to be seated, 15 minutes for a shake, and 35 minutes for our food. When our food finally came out it was warm, at best. While waiting, a lady next to us was given a BLT with no bacon. When she finally received a new sandwich, she took a big bit out of it, with a hair. Our poor server was working her tail off trying to keep up with everything. She did rush a little too much and ended up spilling a water on a customer. They were also out of ice and didn't mention this before ordering drinks. Who wants a warm soda? The floors were absolutely filthy. While picking up something my daughter dropped on the floor, my nail scratched the floor and I got a layer of gunk under it. My sandal stuck to the floor as I was walking and my foot came out of it. None of the kitchen staff had hair nets on. Bottom line, this place needs better management and higher cleanliness standards.
So here's the story: My Family went to this Steak 'n Shake after a trip to Sky Zone, and we needed a fast meal. We ordered our food and shakes, and we waited for our the meals to come. Our food came kind of late, and before, we were wondering where our food was, and how much longer it would take. We got our food, ate it, and everybody in our party finished our meals. By the time we finished our foods, the Milkshakes still haven't come. We waited for a while before my Grandpa went up to the desk, and asked how our shakes were coming along, and if he could speak to the manager. The manager came, and he said "We still have like 20 shakes to deliver inside, and drive-through. Our shake maker is being really lazy to." There weren't that many people inside the restaurant, maybe like 4 other families, and we had to cancel the shakes off our order because we were kind of rushed. When we left, I took a good look at how many people there were in the drive-through. 4 cars, and 6 total people. "Disappointing," I thought. Moral of the Story: "There are better Steak 'n Shakes."
This was the most horrible service I have ever had. Me and my daughter went to lunch here today, first we waited 15min. To be seated, then we waited forever for them to come take our order, then when they finally came to take our order 40 min. later, we had to wait again to get our food. They didn't give us our complete order and no silverware or napkins. Probably half the restaurant walked out because they got tired of waiting on them. People from the drive thru were coming in complaining they waited 40min. for a soda that was the wring kind. What is going on there? Can't even give them 1 star. Won't ever be back there again!
