LIFE CHANGING! Stein has been the most amazing therapy experience of my life! Ted came to my office some years ago to talk to our staff and offered to see us individually, if needed. I met with him and told him what I felt I needed and he set me up with Cathy. She has completely changed my life. She is patient, kind, strong, sensitive, wise, educated and always there when I need her. I can not say enough well deserved things about Cathy and everyone at Stein so I will just highly, highly recommend them!
I have worked intensely with Ted for three years around trauma informed care, EMDR on working through trauma and the importance of taking care of myself and how to do that when surrounded with chaos. Ted has a lot of knowledge, is a strong advocate, he has walked with me through some very difficult challenges and has been extremely helpful to get me through those. Thanks for all of your help!

Stein counseling has been a lifeline when I needed support the most. I have been seeing my therapist for 3 years and have grown as a person, mom, and friend. Because of the growth that I’ve achieved from therapy, I have gained a mental stability and self confidence that has allowed me to gain better career positions and build personal relationships.
Have been with Stein Counseling for a few years now. We work with Ted. He always has good information and suggestions. The front staff is also great to work with.
I'm not quite sure where to even begin on this review. These guys are absolutely amazing! From reception staff to the counselors or therapist themselves and even the next door neighbors are cool. lol. Very professional. Very courteous. Very helpful and always concerned about what's best for you, the client. Treatment plan updates every 6 months. Effective treatment methods for every age group and a very wide array of mental health issues. Family counseling. Couples counseling. They also offer classes from time to time on a variety of subjects. If you're in need of a good counseling service who's willing to listen to your wants and find the best solutions possible you'll want to call these guys. I have not been treated or canceled by every license practitioner here. But I have been treated by a few, past and present, and I have met a number of the other staff. All amazing people!
Ted Stein has really helped me. He is warm and funny and listens well, but also really helped me get through what we were working on.
I've found the best fit here. My counselor is absolutely warm, genuine, caring and helps me with my situations in a professional manner. I've grown so much from this relationship. So grateful to find this space.
Over the summer I was lucky enough to snag an appointment with Stein just before they began their waiting list. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication between me and my therapist so I did not continue sessions with her; however Stein handled it very well and was able to sort it all out and continue to set me up with additional resources. Too, he was able to refer me out to a psychiatrist which was ultimately what I needed from the first session anyways. Amazing and caring staff, will absolutely be returning.
I am writing here about a very unnerving experience with this business. My wife was a regular customer here for many months and we never really had an issue with their counseling services. Then, in February of this year she went into premature labor and was admitted to the hospital to have emergency surgery to prevent preterm labor. During her recovery time, she had a scheduled appointment. We didn't call to cancel because she was in surgical recovery! This company proceeded to send letters about paying a $30 cancellation fee penalty, threatening to go to collections. We called numerous times to speak to a representative about waiving the fee due to unforeseen circumstance, even going so far as offering proof to hospital stay and emergency surgery. They told us that there was nothing they could do and it was going to collections, so we paid. On top of all this, my wife's "therapist" was often 10-15 minutes late for her appointments. During COVID, when there were video conferences, would often pause their session to let her dog out. Spent inordinate amounts of time figuring out how to send her documents to sign through e-mail...during her sessions. Where is my $30 late fees for missing on time appointments and letting dogs out during sessions? This place is a joke, go somewhere else. Anywhere else.
