They are always friendly and helpful. They follow up on your pet to make they're doing well after a visit or procedure the next day. Very informative on pricing and give you a breakdown of cost before anything is done. They are also great with handling your pet so your pet can be as comfortable as possible. Would recommend to family and friends. Photo was taken day of surgery after he came home.
Life savers! My regular vet couldn’t see my dog when I needed them most, my dog and gotten into the trash the day before and was having hemorrhagic gastroenteritis with severe vomiting. So I asked a friend who recommended this clinic. I called them and they said they could fit us in for the later afternoon, but they ended up calling me back and moving our appointment time up. They took great care of my Toy Aussie, Boomer, explained everything with compassion and helped us through this crisis. If Boomer had to wait for my regular vet to see us in a few days we would’ve lost him for sure. I’m thinking of switching to this clinic permanently!
I can’t express my sincere gratitude for these folks. The service and care they provided for my pet and myself is truly heart warming . We are new to the area and decided to have this clinic be our clinic for all our sweet fur babies. The pricing is also very good especially for a AAHA accredited clinic , so they have a very high standard to keep in cleanliness, service and staying up to date with all the veterinary science advancements. We are so thankful for this clinic and recommend them to everyone !
A mixed review follows: We found the staff and veterinarian to be attentive and knowledgeable. We appreciated their patience and amount of time given to our very anxious dog during a consultation appointment. We had sought consultation and price estimate for dental cleaning and tooth extractions for our dog. We appreciated that Friendship Animal Hosptial provided a detailed price estimate for the procedures. As the estimate struck me as surprising high, I called 3 other vets one in Garden Ridge, one in Windcrest and one in Universal City. Each provided pricing at around 350.00 for cleaning additional for extractions. We opted to take our pet to one on these other vets and they performed the cleaning and 6 extractions for 351.00. Please see attached estimate from Friendship and invoice from the vet we used. Bottom line- service was good but pricing of services is cause for concern.
I love this hospital, they took extra precaution and care for my concerns for my dog. They listened to my concerns and met what I wanted to happen for my dog. This place is definitely above and beyond care, love, amazing employees, and a true advocate for my pet thank you for this wonderful experience I will definitely be coming back! I wish all pet hospitals were like this location, thank you for the comfort and amazing experience for my pet! If I could give more than 5 stars I would give this location 1000+ stars. Thank you for taking care of my pet like it was your own it really means a lot to me!
They get me in last minute with no appointment and saw my dog right away! Friendly staff and clean place! I was made aware of all costs before paying/them doing any procedures and I was comfortable the entire time. They have a drop off option to leave your pet so they can see it on their time and you don’t have to wait in a waiting room for hours. I’ve never seen this before and loved this option as it allowed me to get other things done as well as have peace of mind over my dog getting top care! Shoutout to Carlos for being so kind and gentle with my furry old man as well as being funny and keeping me grounded! Probably the best staff I’ve ever seen in a vet setting!
I sincerely appreciate the same-day appointment for my dog, Rowdy's eye injury. My usual vet who has treated 5 of my pets over 25 years--with annual teeth cleanings $$$, all immunizations $$$, preventive care/diagnostics $$$ and prescription food $$$ has front desk staff who said they could not see us for 8 days, even for this eye injury. My former vet, I should say. Obviously they are too busy to miss me, but they might miss the steady flow of my $$$. Before any care was rendered at Friendship Hospital, I was given an estimate of the cost. While Rowdy was being cared for, I got two phone calls updating me on his status--1 from the very kind vet tech, and the second from the vet herself. When I picked Rowdy up, everything was fully explained for home care, his medicines, and what to look out for as he healed. Very thorough. I'm so grateful for their compassion and professionalism.
Had a emergency for my dog and they treated us so kindly and answered all our questions! Highly recommend! They made me feel comfortable that my baby girl was in good hands! Everyone was so lovely! My Nahla is recovering perfectly and I couldn’t be more thankful!
The entire staff at Friendship Pet Hospital from the Dr. Ocana, all of the vet techs and Joan the receptionist are friendly, caring and helpful. We have used used the FPH for a few years and have always received the best care for our cat and elderly dog. Unlike many other Vet Clinics we’ve used in the past, we have never had to wait very long maybe a day to get an appointment. It’s also very convenient that they are open till 7:00 pm most days as well as Saturdays and most holidays!
The entire staff from the front desk to the vets were incredibly sweet to our fur babies. We ended up with bad news for one and they were all so kind.
