Thank you Stoneham Bank for awesome customer service. I received a call from Joyce in the fraud department, she saw an odd charge on my account and sure enough, it wasn't mine. I came into the Montvale branch where Violetta branch mngr helped me obtain a new bank card...quick and painless. Great work everyone. Thank you, Timothy Sullivan
I was away with my family on vacation with spotty cell service. I had a fraud alert on my debit card and StonehamBank, when the fraud department couldn't reach me put a hold on my card until they could hear from me. Fortunately, there was no fraud, so the hold on my card was lifted after answering a few simple questions. Amanda Romano did a great job answering my questions and getting my card activated again!
I have been with several Banks and this is the best bank I have ever been with. Not only can I do online banking but I can also speak with customer service via video which to me is a 10 plus. I am elderly and I'm unable to get to the bank all the time so having video conferencing to take care of my banking needs is a is very important the staff at the bank are always courteous and extremely helpful. If you're looking to switch Banks I guarantee you will be quite satisfied with Stoneham Bank
Please run from this bank. Worst bank ever. Worst customer service ever. They sell your information to shady 3rd party companies. They spend your money on luxury trips and items for the executives. Do not open an account and please do not get a loan from them. If you get a loan from them they will harass you like they own your house. Stay far away from Stoneham Bank. Bad people work there.
A complete nightmare I went to deposit corporate money. The cashier took my money; and he told me that my money bag is short of $94. And he asked me if I wanted to deposed with$94 short. I was surprised for I counted the money more than 3 times before I went to bank. I then told him to give my money back so that I can count the money again to verify. That back dude is full of attitude and gave me different pile of money. I told him THAT’S NOT MY MONEY. Then I asked him if I can get my pile of money back for I want to recount myself. Plus I knew the the exact numbers of bills I’d taken to the bank. He told me to get that money back or wait there in lobby while they count their deposit. Why was the money in the deposit before i approved to deposit. They made me wait for an hour and blame that the machine counted the money wrong. The money matched with my deposit slip. I’m glad the money was found but horrible customer service

I've had issues with this bank for a while mostly their mobile app, which they just revamped, but one of my biggest irritations is their poor communication. We live in a digital age - most people don't visit a bank branch unless absolutely necessary, so mobile deposits are a common and vitally important part of personal banking. This is the second time this has happened to me, where I try to deposit a mobile check through the app and get a notification that it wasn't accepted, with little to no reasoning provided. Today, I got a notification that it "wasn't authorized". Because they didn't give me any additional information, I assumed it was because my husband's name wasn't on the account that I selected to deposit it into the check was made out to both of us. His name is on a different account, so I resubmitted the check for that account. Then I get another rejection, telling me that I didn't word my "for mobile deposit only" disclaimer correctly and needed to redo it. Would it have been so difficult for them to tell me all of the issues in the first rejection instead of making me submit the check three times? Every time I deposit a check through their mobile app, I hold my breath because it's a crapshoot as to whether or not it will be accepted, and the reasoning is never clear or accurate.
