Last weekend here, camp is closing. Was sold as part of the BSA bankruptcy plan. It's rustic, outhouses only, no showers. Troop 841 was the first to occupy one of the newer lean-tos and will be the last occupy the same one. Camp being bought by town of Lewiston with plans to demolish most of the buildings and let overgrow with just minimal trail maintenance. Been a staple for both my boys scouting experience. Both of whom are Eagle Scouts. Goodbye Stonehaven, thanks for the memories.
Just like all of these Scout Council Camps, Covid last year has taken a toll on these camps. With very limited camping, hence low funds for maintenance & programs the camp is in a little disarray. It has some nice features for scouts and could see with some work and funds, could be a really nice camp. We enjoyed our time camping there.
Boyscout camp fun! Let the Adventure begin.
Always a great time at Stone Haven. It's not as big as some of the other scout camps in Western New York but the kids have a blast climbing the hill land hiking the main road through the camp. Also, you can't beat the convenience of have a sure like this in the North Towns. There are only 3 lodges and one of them is limited in its size so Cub Scout packs should plan accordingly.
It is so clean, and kept up with! The Ranger is so kind, and he helped us with anything we needed! I would recommend this camp to anyone.
Nice camp but I'm pretty sure there are no fish in the lake.
Conveniently located near Niagara Falls. A great weekend Scout camp!
Beautiful, well attention to the campground upkeep!
Great place to hike, come on rocks. Old Stone quarry
