About Us:
One winter evening, three friends were at a party and the conversation turned to the foods they enjoyed eating when they would visit India. All agreed that the food they would pick up on the go, in a very casual atmosphere, was often better than the food in restaurants. The conversation then turned to recipes for street foods; somebody proposed offering the broader local community a taste of the street foods .....and thus was born the concept of Street Foods of India! The three ladies, Vidula, Shashi and Smita, discovered that street foods actually differ a lot from the North of India across to the East and West; the South of India has always had a distinctive street food cuisine. They also discovered that, between them, they had recipes for most of the street foods and thus Street Foods of India progressed from an idea to implementation. Our mission is to bring healthy, nutritious South Asian (Indian) street food to the community, and our goal is to always strive for sustainability, taste and balance in all of our offerings.
