Lovely town-came for the arts festival and then walked around. We found this long, lovely, boardwalk along the ocean and out under the bridge. Fun to watch the boats waiting for the trains and drawbridge.
Stayed in Stuart for 1 night during a month long road trip around Florida, Stuart turned out to be our favourite little city of the trip. It was a Sunday and there was a craft market and live band playing on a stage built out over the river. Beautiful walk along the waterfront’s boardwalk.
An absolutely beautiful public walkway along the St. Lucie River. Easy to access from the historical downtown Stuart or from the nearby Flagler Park. Restaurants/bars are located right off of the walk. Public restrooms are not far away from here either.
Love this board walk and the views of the bridge and water!
Beautiful walk. A bit windy the day we were there but beautiful
Trump supporters are now carrying assault rifles to Sunday Riverwalk concerts. Really spoils the atmosphere.
Nice walk alongside the river, you can come by boat, dock at public dock. Walk under the train tracks along the water.
Sunday afternoons in downtown Stuart used to be a favorite place to spend time and money for myself my family my friends and people who came to visit us. Now the boardwalk has been overtaken by "fishermen" armed with automatic rifles. They stand on the dock, waving a Trump flag, guns slung across their chests, daring people to take their pictures. Yes this is downtown Stuart on a Sunday afternoon. Needless to say we left, and we weren't the only ones. I hope that the Stuart Boathouse does not condone this. I hope that local business people and establishments that cater to tourists and locals will figure out a way to not have the public boardwalk taken over by people armed with assault weapons. There is no way it feels at all safe to walk past these people. They invite confrontation, and one has to question why they feel the need to go to a place of family fun on a Sunday afternoon with an assault rifle. There's something very unhinged about that. So Riverwalk organizers, Stuart business people and residents, vacationing tourists, speak up speak out and get rid of the automatic rifles. Yes the police are watching and apparently the law says that since they are fishing they can have their great big guns. So let's fix that commissioners. Congressman Mast your office is a few hundred yards away from there. Can you do something about it?
A wonderful place to hang out and enjoy the view. On Sundays there's a band playing and an outdoor market until 4PM.
Excellent area , clean bathrooms children friendly . Very nice view with the bridge and all . Live band was going as well
