Being a part of Ocean Canyon has been a great experience! I love coming to Tres Rios RV Resort, Ocean Canyon's North Texas location One of their premiere facilities in my opinion. The mature oak trees along the river create a beautiful setting! Many of the spots are shaded and my dog loves that! I especially appreciate the staff at Ocean Canyon Parks; They always go above and beyond to make sure our needs are met. They have free donuts every Friday, daily bike rides. My kids LOVE when we go to an Ocean Canyon park! Lots of friends and fun activities! I would recommend a stay at this park to anyone! This strand of RV resorts really puts the emphasis on family and friends with a lot of different activities. Adults and kid's alike will enjoy the beautiful scenery, adult and kid crafts, card games, dominoes, swimming, hikes, bird watching, fishing, potlucks, Church service! I especially enjoy the "date nights" they put on! Every Thursday, us park "regulars" get together for a date night at a local restaurant! I have made many new friends from my stays with Ocean Canyon and can't wait to make more!
I'm an employee at Ocean Canyon PropertiesMountain Lakes Resort located on the banks of the beautiful Lake Guntersville, and Tennessee River. As an employee, it feels more like I'm on a daily vacation at place that's surrounded with beauty and something fun for all ages daily.
Don't buy this ridiculously priced membership. Buy Thousand Trails instead. It's definitely cheaper and you have hundreds of parks to choose from all over the country. Ocean Canyon doesn't even have a dozen properties and they aren't worth the money. We met a sales person at Tres Rios, She drew pictures of all the things we wanted in an RV park and then looked around bored like she was on autopilot when she described them. She said there were absolutely no permanent spots or structures permitted. That was a total lie. She said there were definitive time limits to your stays. But ... for additional fees that can change. After talking with a few of the others who have memberships with OCP there are indeed a number of permanent RVers at their parks. We talked to some of the others who are like us and many of them were disappointed at the lies they were told. Our sales person promised us things the park didn't even offer. I was told she was fired for this and then a few months later I see her driving around on a golf cart showing people around. One afternoon we get a call asking us if we want to elevate our membership. Meaning pay thousands more than we already have. I absolutely have no desire to give this pyramid timeshare scheme any more money. It's thousands of dollars to join and then a annual maintenance fee of $600. I can go to Thousand Trails and pay $800 annually with their Encore properties included and stay for the same amount of time. AND I can have over 200+ campgrounds to choose from instead of just a mere handful. Now they've been bought out and you can't use those properties unless you spend MORE money in the pyramid timeshare scheme they have. THOUSAND TRAILS IS DEFINITELY BETTER and cheaper hands down.
Bought a new camper and was given the opportunity to sign up for a year of free camping and visit the Branson Ridge Resort campground. My salesman was Ronnie. Very nice and informative. No pressure to buy in whatsoever. Recommend for somebody looking for extended stay camping in Branson, MO. Ocean Canyon’s other campgrounds looked very nice as well. Ronnie respected my time and it is definitely worth checking in to.
DO NOT BUY THIS 'timeshare' garbage. They bait & lie during salespitch saying you can cancel anytime. But then when you go to cancel later on for what ever reason they inform you to read your contract fine print that there is never a cancellation. No cancellations allowed or they threaten to sue you. I don't even own my RV anymore and am stuck with them.
I. Went to stay there and the place looks nothing like it says my ac and hot water heater went out so I came home wasn't going to burn up I have numerous health issues as I left I left a voicemail telling them what happened well I missed the 9 am tour so they charged me $60 which turned out $70 the wifi is trash couldn't use it or. My phone service the ponds I wouldn't eat a fish if you got lucky enough to catch one truly DISAPPOINTED in this place so no I wouldn't recommend taking a dog to stay there jmo
To many people who actually live in the campground, ruins the whole camping experience. Makes you feel like you're intruding.. I don't have a problem with older people at all. But it feels like a trailer park for the elderly... Just went camping this weekend. The park is feeled with people who who live in. We were the only actual campers !!!
DO NOT GET THIS!! Please read all of the bad reviews. They are 100% accurate. I would write one but it's going to be the same thing as the other ones.
I'm not a member of the OCP, but I have been staying out here at the Texoma Shores Resort. This is a very nice and relaxing and peaceful place to stay. I have been here for awhile and John Michelle who runs this place are AMAZING!!! They are always so friendly and helpful. The park stays well maintained, it always looks nice an mowed. The restrooms and showers are always clean. I'll stay as long as long as they let me. I really like this place and I try to tell everyone I Kno about it. Thanks
This tries to be a good camping resort, unfortunately there are a few drawbacks. The outdoor pool is always grimy, the picnic tables are old and warped, and the main road around the sites is full of some pretty bad potholes. I would only give Mountain lakes more than a two star review but these same issues have been this way for years! Also the new cafe due in July is months away from being finished. If they would only do maintenence on the easy stuff, like cleaning the pool on a regular basis and replace the boards on the picnic tables it could be a four star!
