Sugar Mama's French Toast is out of this world! Located around the way on Frederick Ave, Sugar Mama's is an intimate breakfast spot that will make your palate dance. Today I went light with a side of French Toast. The taste was just as great as I remember. It is the perfect pairing with any other breakfast dish. The flavor is unique to Sugar Mama's with a dash of powdered sugar.

After having Sugar Mama’s at least 10-15 times now, I can honestly say that I’ve never had anything short of amazing. Salmon and Crispy Chicken BLTs are top tier. Chicken wings are seasoned to perfection and the coco bread on all the sandwiches is a must. Go try everything!

Sugar Mama's satisfied my breakfast platter cravings and imagination. The food and service definitely lives up to recommendations I received. The restaurant opened on time. Mind you, vehicles were pulling up before 9:00 AM. When the door opened a line formed immediately and those inside and outside were rather congenial. Customers were from diverse backgrounds and were smiling. Staff were welcoming and very pleasant. Pretty upbeat and happy atmosphere. The server taking orders offered food options, which I was thankful for. I was told my platter would be ready in 25 minutes and as promised it was. Food portions were very generous. The french toast texture and flavor were just right. Yummy! In fact, every item on my platters eggs, sausage, home fries, grits was excellent. I had wondered about the grits, but the texture was absolutely gritsy-soft, not too watery or hard. Loved them! I will definitely revisit. I would surely recommend Sugar Mama's. I applaud them for their professionalism in opening on time, greeting customers, providing a variety of food options, and meeting the timeframe given for preparation of your food. I rate Sugar Mama's as 5. Parking: On-street parking is available directly in front of Sugar Mama's and on both sides of the 4100 block of Frederick Avenue. There is also parking on Collins Avenue, an adjacent side street. Pay attention to any parking meters and signs.

Whoever thought to make sandwiches out of coco bread deserves a raise. I ordered the French toast chicken sandwich & the shrimp cheesesteak coco. The French toast isn’t for everyone but if you like putting a patty in coco bread, their coco bread sandwiches will make you a fan! Get here! Pros: Food 10/10! Customer service, staff chemistry. Cons: French toast has like a cinnamon sugar glaze/crust to it, good to me but might be terrible to others.

Just moved to nearby Arbutus and decided to try this for breakfast. The chicken was juicy and seasoned just right! The French toast was the best I’ve ever had, light med than light! I will definitely be returning! The place is carry out, make sure to order ahead!

Great place food is the best around too me. Everything is made to order and made old school and how granny made it. The costumer service is great. If you not from Baltimore this is the place to go if u want Baltimore native dishes.. 5 stars hands down see your Saturday

Sugar Mamas exceeded my expectations!! The food was fire, customer service was awesome, and overall just a great experience. This is a small takeout spot, so taking a few mins to read ahead to learn about the process helped - call in to pre-order your food, and bring a mask to wear inside for pick-up. If there’s a few people waiting inside already, wait outside until folks come out. Not difficult, kinda common sense. I waited a few mins on hold to place my order worth it. The woman taking my order was kind enough to recommend some other dishes when what I planned to order wasn’t available. We ended up with the French toast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese; the pancake platter with turkey bacon; chicken tenders and French toast, and chicken tenders and fries. EVERYTHING was delicious, but the standouts for me were the French toast covered in sugary goodness, the home fries seasoned to perfection and crispy, and the French toast sandwich I didn’t partake, it looked amazing and told it was really good! I waited outside a few mins when I got there, and gave my name as soon as I got inside for my order. The ladies at the front were so kind, and do a fantastic job multitasking - taking orders, putting finishing touches on food, packing orders, etc. It made the pick-up experience so much better than some places you go without that welcoming feeling. All in all, can’t wait to go back to try some other dishes that weren’t available today. Well done Sugar Mamas!

Discovered Sugar Mama's while staying at the hospital up the street and I'm so happy I did. My husband and I ordered the French Toast platter, and the breakfast sandwich. The French toast was so good we made a second trip a few days later to order it again and try the cheesesteak as well. I will say this, as bomb as the French toast is, it is SWEET, so the meal is more of a once in a blue moon treat for me. My husband thought the Philly cheesesteak and the breakfast sandwich was just ok but we agreed the platter was a highlight. I removed one star just because the wait time to get our take out was about an hour, when the girl on the phone told me 25mins. I'll be back to support and try additional items.

So this is one of those "Don't judge a book by its cover". It's really hard to find a decent breakfast spot that's really good. I love the staff first and for most. The two young ladies handling the front were super awesome and friendly. They both made sure everyone that came in was taken care of! Also made sure that the area was sanitized and cleaned after a small rush of ppl came thru. The food is really tasty and made to order so it's fresh. The eggs...omg chefs kiss! Love the grits and bacon. The waffle are cute! Going to go back and try out the lunch/dinner! Only thing I would say is that the french toast are a little sweet and the home fries a little too seasoned, but don't get me wrong...I still ate the home fries because they were good! Good check this place out!

I hadn't been in a while and came yesterday!!!!!!! Had my salmon hash and jerk chicken sub for later. I LOVVVVVVVE THE ONLINE ORDERING!!! I keep up with you ladies. Though, I don't come as often, I keep up with you. JUST KEEP GOING!!!!
