We offer blueberry pies, whoopee pies in seasonal flavors, breakfast pastries, donuts, giant cinnamon rolls, muffins, elephant ears, blueberry turnovers and more! Excellent espresso and coffee, frozen smoothies and Italian sodas. We offer a large selection of decadent desserts cannoli, tiramisu, lemon bars, chocolate caramel creme cake, summer berry stack, chocolate peanut butter stack, coconut macaroons, mud squares, carrot cake and amazing cupcakes! We are not a wholesale bakery, we bake only for our 2 stores."

Stopped by this quaint little bakery and grabbed a ham’n chz croissant, blueberry cream chz pastry and yummy, gooey cinnamon roll! The boys had icing everywhere and ate up every bite, and mama and I snatched up a bag of local blueberry flavored coffee. Will be drinking that blue-brew in the morning for sure! Highly recommend!
Had the good fortune of finding this bakery early in our week long stay in the Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park area. We were able to try almost everything over multiple visits. It was all exceptional. Blueberry pie, whoopie pies, the sweet or savory croissants, cinnamon rolls, donuts, cake slices, elephant ears, scones. Don't leave without a coffee to wash it all down. Robin has something very special going on at Sugar Bakery. Thanks again!
This place is AMAZING!!! This is our 3rd year, visiting this business, and I look forward to visiting every year!! We always buy their Maine wild blueberry pie and ITS THE BEST wild blueberry pue we have ever had!! Their other pastries we have bought and their breads are top notch!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!! Employees are very friendly!
Good bakery with a very wide assortment of pastries. My daughter brought a few sweets back to the house during her visit. All were very good, well made and lots lord nice too. My wife and I visited recently and each bought one pastry again they didn’t disappoint. $13 for both. A bit pricey for me so this will be only a very occasional stop. Service was friendly. Cash only with an ATM in the shop.
The whoopie pie butter cream filling was not made with butter. The quiche had little filling and was the only protein sort of item on the menu. Take out only. Ate with a little plastic fork and left hungry. Coffee was good. Nice place to grab a doughnut but not for breakfast.
Stopped on the way back home from Acadia and they had a delicious variety of baked good. All looked amazing, we had the only gluten free item which was a strawberry cake and it was the best gluten free cake we have ever had! Absolutely worth the stop!
We love this place and they truly have some of the best cannolis we have ever had. We have had cannolis at a lot of spots worldwide. Only once in many times did the shells not seem super fresh. Good chai. The savory croissants are excellent as well. Sadly the fantastic looking cupcakes look better that they taste but maybe that’s because they look so amazing. Cash only but they have an ATM.
There are plenty of blueberry options. The Blueberry Pie was full of blueberries and had a delicious flaky crust. Blueberry Biscuit and Turnover were really good as well. I was disappointed in the blueberry cream cheese croissant. Very flat, not airy and flaky like a typical croissant. Note that this is a Cash Only establishment.
The bakery items were delicious!! The iced latte and iced cappuccino were mediocre. The poor barista was all alone so the line was moving super slow. She did great though. There were 5 of us in our group, so as single customers came in behind us, after we had already ordered, the single customers got angry and left. The bakery items are definitely worth the wait though.
Sugar Bakery is beautiful and so clean. The pastry cases are filled with lovely options. Went back two days in a row. My favorite was the spinach/feta croissant.
