Our dog loves here. Very caring staff. Vets are really cool. If my dog loves there, it's a 5 star for me
I used this vet for years , they were good when our dogs were in need of care. But, what disappointed me the most, was they didn’t show any compassion and honesty towards my family when our dog passed away recently, and charged huge amounts for his passing. With compassion and humility would have shown with some when some of the services were not necessary for charging especially passing away. Then I would have definitely bragged about how kind they were towards our day of loss. So, basically I’m disappointed.
We have been using Sugarloaf Animal Hospital as our vet office since we first got our dog 7 years ago. They have been amazing at caring for our somewhat tempermental French Bulldog. I love that our dog not only gets excellent care, they also understand the issues with her breed. The staff works hard to make her visits fun. If you are looking for an excellent veterinarian office, you will be very pleased with Sugarloaf Animal Hospital.
Honest review. It’s been about a year since I I had to let my oldest chihuahua cross the bridge. He had severe dementia, was 90% blind, and his hips were failing him causing him to fall and hurt himself. I was his 24/7 caregiver literally all day and all night until I just knew it was time. Having this dog 1/2 of my life you can imagine how hard it is to let go and get up the courage to actually go in a place where you’ll never see him again. I was greeted by the receptionist while in tears and told her it was time to let my baby go. She rudely said they had to do a wellness check to prove he is in fact ready to be euthanized. Then walked to the back and left me for 15 mins just holding him. I knew I didn’t want to put him through that because I know what condition he was in and wanted him to go in peace.. not scared from people touching all over him for who knows how long. Please note I’ve worked for vets and I know some places do this. But I feel like this was handled so badly and every time I drive past this place I get a lump in my throat and sick to my stomach. I walked out sobbing and had to do this again at a place that trusted my choice. It was quick and peaceful. Just for the staff.. take these walk ins or calls with some compassion. Because still a year later I hurt when I think about it and see the building.
Love this place. Staff are always super friendly and helpful. After numerous issues trying to find a groomer, they were happy to fit us in the same day. The pup loves going there. I have to remind him it's the doctor's office not the playground lol. He gets excited as soon as we pull up.
I took my cat here for a “new patient” style appointment as we recently moved to the area. The staff was very friendly and, most importantly, took great care of my boy. Champa is not a fan of the vet & prefers to hide around the room. They let him have his space so he could adjust to them before starting any testing. They talked me through everything we did and provided an itemized bill to discuss services before we agreed on anything. The lab work came back the next day & I got a text notifying me! I would bring Champa back for any kind of care from routine to urgent. This vet came recommended by family and I completely understand why!
Great service, a lot of information. Answered all my questions about my rescued dog. Rebecca at the front desk is very polite and nice. The doctor is great and the pet nurse has a lot of patience.
Just waited an hour to drop my dogs off for boarding. Staff has no professionalism, and just found out that I’m being charged for a full day of boarding— even if I pick up when they open. Disappointed with the service received, and the lack of care and professionalism from this team. Last time I ever bring my pets here.
The staff loves animals and are helpful in answering questions. Both veterinarians are wonderful. Michelle has gone the extra mile and helping me through many difficulties with dog Roxy.
We’ve taken our dogs Rocky & Coco to Sugarloaf Animal Hospital for about 20 Years. The staff friendly, professional and animal lovers. Highly Recommend.
