I would like to thank my nurse Cynthia, and Dr. Megan Gordon for making my experience in the E.R. department at Sumner Regional Medical Center so comfortable and showed so much compassion at a time I was in pain. Their patience and concern made my experience so much easier, especially when the E.R. was so busy.I would highly recommend them to anyone when you need help at such a desperate time. Thank you again for making my experience much easier for me.
Treated my family horribly, my loved who was in a coma they didn’t even care about enough to try to save. Some of the nurses were great but only a select few. Others seemed bothered by our presence. It should never take DAYS to have an MRI done that is URGENT!! Stay far away from this hospital, it’s completely corrupt.
After my brother's hips being broke after accident they sent us home saying he was "just sore" well that was not the case. I would not and I mean it take your family there. Their staff is rude, after my grandfather was supposed to have a test today he did NOT get it done because they obviously have no idea how to read. They were supposed to have him pre medicated 12 hours before the scan was supposed to be ran. Well I'm sure you can guess, he wasn't and we were sent home. As my grandmother was on the phone asking how to get that medication they called her rude, and tried to blame her for their mistake. We will NOT be going back
Had an emergency Appendectomy.. ER dept was horrible, very poor pain management and attention from nursing staff… the surgery team was great, so was the surgeon! So, if you need an ER, go someplace else!
Had my mother in the ER today and she received great care from registration to her discharge. Everyone was so nice and she received great care. Special thank you to everyone for the great care and compassion you shown today! Blessed to have this hospital in our area.
My 85 yr old mom fell and was rushed to ER. 4 hours in ER just sitting and waiting for an overnight bed for her to be in observation. Once she got to her room, two hours and no one gave her a gown to get out of bloody clothes nor hooked her up to any monitor for observation. Not even water for her to drink. We had to press the call button just to get help. Thus is not the kind of service I expected.
I delivered my baby here a few days ago and it was such a positive experience. All of the nurses and staff were so kind and helpful. We are incredibly thankful for our nurse McKayla. Thank you!
I will NEVER go back, we waited in the emergency waiting area for over 3 hours. My daughter was in extreme pain and they seemed to not care. Had an ultrasound done made the pain even worse then taken back to the waiting area. Asked the registration nurse if they could give her pain medication 3 times. She said she asked a couple times in the back and they just told her okay. Without a care. The nurse that had done the initial vitals said they would give her pain medicine she never received. After feeling like they didn’t care about patients we left. Arrived at 9:40 left at about 1:15 whole time in the waiting area never saw a doctor. Left to go to Hendersonville medical center. We were not even there for 30min saw a doctor and they gave her pain medication after seeing how much pain she was in. Don’t make the mistake I did and go to Sumner Regional!
Do not go here! Unsafely discharged double amputee, kidney dialysis patient, cognitive impairment with multiple medical problems to the Nashville mission! They did not care that the Nashville Mission can not manage this and do not accept someone with dialysis needs. Because patients insurance ran out. They were “feeling pressure from administration to get her discharged”. Without communicating and coordinating home care with family. Though family, called multiple times to express concerns and to meet with doctor, staff, caseworker, etc.., They all colluded to discharge her based on an inaccurate complete assessment of patients abilities because, again her insurance ran out. *********** UPDATE*************************** The patient ended up being readmitted to another hospital within 3 days for a bad infection that she complained about at Sumner Regional prior to discharge.
My experience over all wasn't the impressive part about this ER ,however I have to give a huge shout out to 1 Amazing Lady who always makes the experience less stressful, less scary ,goes out of her way to make sure u are taken care of and that u have everything u need ,not only does she go above and beyond but she does it all with a smile on her face and u always feel like she truly loves what she does, Sumner Regional should consider themselves lucky to have such a treasure in Emergency Room Nurse Miss Lynn, I sincerely hope u see this and know that u don't go unnoticed by ur patients and that u are so very much appreciated, I hope that the hospital can find some way to show her the same appreciation because she deserves the recognition!
