Sunrise Family Restaurant

For being the first time going to this place, I have to say it was very good. I don't give five stars right off the back on the first visit, I base my ratings on multiple visits. The Sunrise Family Restaurant is a great place to visit. It's a friendly and comfortable establishment that serves really decent food with extremely great prices considering the way the economy is going today. I was in a party of three, and the bill with the tip was under a hundred dollars, including appetizers, which my son demolished before I could get a chance to take a picture. It is worthy of multiple visits by yourself or with family. I will be going back and updating my review accordingly!

5 stars all around. We heard rave reviews from a bunch of friends in town and thankfully gave it a try. Our family arrived hungry and boy did they deliver. There is nothing that we ordered that we would not order again and if they only served their empanadas we would frequent just for those! Phenomenal. Kids had wings and cheese quesadilla and shared our empanadas. We had the Chicken Madeira and Salmon Caeser salad. Service was outstanding. Sangria was dangerously delicious. We will be back soon and so happy to have such a wonderful establishment with so many fresh options in the area!

Breakfast was perfect. Nice to have a good, reasonably priced diner in this area. Only suggestion turn the t.v. off in the dining area or take it out. Airport news , I'd rather stare out the window watching traffic. Parking: I was a bit confused about where to park.

This place is aces! Went here with my family for dinner and we were already planning second trip back before we were done eating. Food is well priced and taste excellent. Service was attentive and friendly. This how I remember going out to eat was supposed to feel!Food: 5/5

The staff was so attentive! Went there for lunch and had the perfect Turkey club. My daughter and I split the tostones app and wow they were so good! Definitely will be back!Food: 4/5

I ordered the churrasco medium rare. The meat was perfectly cooked and flavor amazing! Rice and beans were the perfect accompaniment! Passed on the house bread and chicken soup because I did not want to fill up before getting my meal - opted for the salad with balsamic vinaigrette instead. Amazing meal! Definitely recommending restaurant and coming back again!

Dropped off the Appalachian Trail on 7/1 and stopped here for a drink and bite on a hot day. They were very welcoming to two dirty hikers. The food was great and drinks were cold. And to add to this, the couple sitting next to us at the bar paid for our meal without telling us. I will be forever grateful. I will pay that forwards.Food: 5/5

***Must read entier entry*** To start the parking lot is marked like a 2 year old had a box of crayons and parents said have at it. No worries I say let's go in as I'm a foodie... I should of gone home and made a pb&j. Know the wait begins... This establishment has very friendly staff and willing to accommodate you no problem. But so very slow you better have a good 3 hours to kill from start to finish. So we sit , get drink order in. The clock starts. 20 mins before the server comes w drinks but doesn't take order. Comes back a good 10 after that as I stop him and say we are good to go. The guy was not ready for us but stopped anyway. He takes the kids order, than the adults order and skips the last adult order... walks away... we say ok guess that person doesn't eat no worries at this point I was ready to go. I'm a foodie remember never been here so I must try. The order consisted of breakfast for dinner. The basics pancakes, French toast, eggs, and bacon for everyone but 2 orders. 1 salad and 1 cheese quesadilla... Easy right? 45 mins later after the kids are complaining they are starving , no bread no nothing to hold you over. We did not even get appetizers nothing and it's dang breakfast... come on... so food finally arrived which was great! Everyone enjoyed it. Saving grace... nah we complete everything. Kids are all done. No servers to be seen again. 40 mins after we are done plates removed a check arrives... than again ghost town with staff. 15 mins again I wait I have had it I get up myself and go to the bar area and put the check in front of the staff and they don't know what to do with me. Dumb founded looking at me like I had 3 heads. All set we leave and this is where it gets even better. Part 2 to this great experience... The Parking Lot: Going to our cars we say our good byes and start the journey home. Where I hear yelling I look up and a man is accosting a woman. Verbally abusing her and getting more and more aggressive to point of touching her. Before that happens unfortunately with my kids behind me I approach to get the guys attention on me. There are several rentals on this property along with the restaurant and the parking is just atrocious. This guy is screaming profanity saying all very colorful things about how he lives there and people block him from entering or leaving every single day and he has had it. He states to me get out of here expletives and he will beat her expletives and my expletives. I told the guy everyone is leave just go and let them all leave. He was not having that, he was done with the world. I said there are kids around he needed to stop escalating and move on. I had my kids leave the area and the woman get in her car as I waited for everyone to situate themselves safely. After where safe they guy didn't like that I was taking control and went to his car saying he has got this. 1st threat happens from his mouth right there. He pulls out brass knuckles and comes for me. Screaming you ready! I'm going to beat you and so on. Felony 1 possession of illegal weapon in NY. Cool! Me having kids and family I will not entertain this man at all. He is now pacing the lot trying to get me to hit him. Another person comes up behind him and gets his attention and he freaks out on him going after him. The restaurant is fully aware of what's going on by now and does nothing. The guy than threatened everyone again stating he has a fire arm and will take care of this. Felony account 2 and threatening harm with fire arm aggravated Felony 3. 5 to 7 years min... just saying... Still nothing done by the restaurant as paytrons are entering and leaving. They knew what was happening, did nothing. I finally diffuse the situation to the point that the guy apologized and spoke nicely and went on his way. I'm not one to play around nor am I the one to leave a situation like this where others can be hurt. I will take the attention of the aggressor onto myself so others can remove themselves.
