Horrible place! Do not bury your family here. Zero compassion for the families who has lost loved one. We use to be able to put stuff up to 12" in front of the headstones. since new management took over your no longer allowed and they will throw your stuff away. They told my mom that we will run out of money before they will. If I could dig my loved ones up and move them to a different cemetery I would! I know I told my kids to NOT bury me here even though it means I will not be next to my family!
Nice quiet cemetery, decent size. The office is right in front. If you need help with anything people are always willing to help. There is a pond which geese love to be around. You can take bread and feed them they are use to humans and enjoy the easy meal. The fish also enjoy the food. A few turtles are around to. Grounds are well kept. In the back is the old crematorium, not used anymore. It's definitely worth checking out. It used to have iron doors but some idiot stole them years ago.
I would never recommend this cemetery. You spend 8k on your loved one, and can’t even put a fake flower on their grave plot. Never put any money into this cemetery, it’s a waste of your money, time, and love. I would recommend you go somewhere else for your loved ones, unless you want unprofessional and immoral people to disrespect your loved ones. The worst part is that your loved one isn’t there to defend themselves through all of it. The people of this cemetery are immoral, disrespectful, and down right rude. Do not waste your money trying to put your loved ones in this cemetery! The manager Amber has no business nor morals to be managing a cemetery, she will disrespect your loved ones with no care at all. I’m sickened to even imagine that someone would think it’s okay to disrespect the dead. This cemetery contradicts all their morals with their heinous actions! Do not recommend, and would never recommend spending money at this site!
I have tried to work with this place for so long but I’m tired of keeping quiet. March of 2022 we bought a new stone for my daughter that past they had harassed us over and over after telling us we would have any amount of time to pay off the stone we wanted to upgrade to. Unfortunately that was untrue and they made it a very big deal so for my daughters birthday we finished paying it early in full they said it wouldn’t take long to place the stone. October of 2022 the stone had still not been placed and we started to make contact as much as possible to find out why. The beginning of November they informed us the wrong size of granite had been ordered and they would have to send it back they still have her marker sitting in their office and we’re only waiting on the granite. We are now in may of 2023 over a year later and our stone we paid several thousand dollars for still has yet to be placed. This is only one of several issues we have had they have fixed the others as it was sinking in the plot she was placed and people who haven’t been very kind while dealing with people who have lost their loved ones. I tried to avoid this I just wanted this to be a peaceful place for my daughter to be laid to rest where I could celebrate her life and be able to upgrade her stone to something she truly deserves.
It's very pretty and very clean. All the grass is cut nicely and it's very well kept. Very beautiful place to bury your loved one
I used to have the most respect for sunset, I have my daughter out there, it took me 2 years to get her picture on her headstone fixed, which they whited the back of it out when they did it, I didn’t like it, water got in it, then in 2021 paid 500 to get another picture put in, well now it’s falling apart Nikki told me , they would look at it and have it fixed today I call it will be after the weekend, my mom paid 500 to have her name put on the headstone, lance said it would take two weeks, now there’s no receipt I have to pay for her name and date of birth to be put on again it’s ridiculous to ask me, it used to be good people out there that cared
I highly recommend Sunset Cemetery. I've had relatives buried there since 1987. The current owners keep the place beautiful and it's always peaceful when I visit them. Recently, we made an appointment with Sunset Representative Lance, regarding Death date plates for our parents markers. And a Military marker for our brother. He was very helpful and informative while assisting us with the ordering process. Thank you Lance, your the best!!
Please consider another cemetery. We were told if a headstone was on the July truck that it would be installed by the end of the month or the first week of august if there’s a lot of burials. It is now the end of September and it still isn’t out. Lance also is not friendly. They know the layout of the plots and they still let someone who isn’t even authorized to make changes to the plots, place an order for a headstone that he said “will look doggone weird” and didn’t say anything about it being not recommended for the plot until it was already paid for and delivered. Ridiculous and unprofessional. Just please go somewhere else. Some of the ladies here are nice, that’s about all I have to say friendly about them Update: not really an update. I just called again to check and was told that they’re waiting on layout paperwork to be completed. She said it’s an internal paperwork. So how would it have possibly be done by the end of July, first week in august, and then “as soon as another burial happens” if the paperwork still isn’t done? This cemetery is HORRIBLE. The marker flags have been in different spots several times when we’ve went to check and see if the headstone is there. Awful place and rude people. Oh, and they somehow lost $400 and paperwork on the original headstone that my aunt put down here right after he originally passed. I’m so serious, DO NOT COME HERE.
Lance Hanners really made the process of choosing a burial location and picking out a headstone very smooth. His guidance and knowledge of the whole process put me at ease. He provided valuable information on what I needed to do to prepare for my funeral. He also offered various payment options to allow me to make these big purchases and keep my cash flow in good shape. Whatever I wanted, he provided all the information I needed to make decisions to fit my budget and desires. I would recommend Lance Hanners to anyone needing information on funeral planning.
