Super Foodtown of Croton on Hudson

It’s close by, so the convenience is why I usually pop in to just grab a couple things I forgot. People say the selection is amazing, but, it’s average, at best. One nice thing, is the points system…The more points you accrue, the more you can get free, from their preselected list of, what Id say, are essentials. The store is clean, and usually not too crowded. Now, for the reason I’m typing this…their prices are absolutely insane. I feel like, during these times when, a good majority of us are struggling to afford the same amount of food we were buying pre pandemic…. They’re “kind of” definitely price gouging. I don’t think it’s really fair to do that too people. Almost everything, unless they have a sale and their sales aren’t even impressive their prices are so much higher than other stores I go to. Before you say, just go elsewhere….I do, I go to Shoprite, which has a MUCH BIGGER selection, and prices are SO much more fair, and they ALWAYS have great sales, and it seems like they actually care that people in their community are struggling trying to feed their families, and I just feel like Foodtown owners should do better and be better…. It’s obvious that a lot of it is a choice, because other stores are doing better for the people…there are people working hard all week, basically just to spend it all on food…and it’s just sad.

I’m a regular customer. They have great product but unfortunately poor customer service. Heather the manager was mean. unhelpful, they called me from the store few weeks ago to say I left my credit card there, asking me to pick it up, when I went to picked it up she refused to look for it and I left with out my card, then i went back to the store a week later hoping for a different manager in charge, but Heather was there again saying they throw out my card in the garbage and asking me to leave. I don’t think I’ll be going back there again.

very accommodating, has what you need, also a great pharmacy. Some items priced higher than competitors, but overall I love this store

Super Foodtown replaced an old A&P. This store has a decent produce section as well as a wide variety of quality prepared foods, and a bakery section. Do NOT be deceived by its compact size, this store has plenty to offer, and is a welcome break from the crowded Shop-Rite.

Convenient, lovely store and workers. Would be improved with fresher fruit and produce ...

Their meats are the best. Never crowded. Friendly staff. You pay a bit more then other places but the quality is better

I like to shop here because the produce is high quality and they carry a lot of vegan friendly and plant-based products including Oatly and Beyond Meats and others.

Very nice store, clean with friendly workers. Has every thing you need.

Regular grocery store Not too many shortages, but some shelves were overstocked with only one product, take that for what you will. The deli and produce are top notch, the bakery is not on site and sometimes staleness arises. How do I really feel about this store? Everytime I check-out they ask me for their : courtesy card. I have yet to spend the time to get one, because I always say to myself oh, I won't be coming back here again I must say, they do have location and a helpful staff on their side so I probably will be there again.

Great beer section, staff is really nice.
