Awesome park! We did the side by side tour and would 100% recommend! Our guide, Ty, was knowledgable, personable, and did a great job of selecting trails that were challenging but appropriate for our skill level total beginner . The scenery was beautiful, and the side by sides have great suspension. Definitely get the goggles, and prepare to get muddy! The park is really well maintained and landscaped, bathrooms were clean, and the staff were very friendly. We stayed in a cabin at The Shire, and it was the perfect base for exploring Hot Springs. This makes a great day trip if you're in the area, and I would definitely go again!
Our family of 4 along with our friends had an awesome time here! Ty was incredible, guiding us through the trails over the course of our 2 hour excursion. He is an expert out in the field, knows all the trails and was fantastic at reading our group to know exactly what kind of things we wanted to do while we were out there. I highly recommend booking with this place - it’s a great group of people and an awesome experience for people of all ages. Just be prepared to need a shower when you’re done, it gets a little messy out there! Thanks Ty for such a wonderful afternoon- we’ll be back the next time we’re in town!!!
A good day of off-roading! This park is about 10-15 minutes outside of town and has a little for everyone. I normally like to take trails that are not associated with a park cause I like to see the countryside. However, I had some newbies with me so I was just looking to give them the experience. The park was large enough the scenery didn't repeat itself too bad and a lot of fun was had. We did Fun Run and Snake while here. Both are Jeep BOH trails. I believe it was Fun Run with 2 hills at ~23% grade!
We visited Hot Springs Off-Road Park today for a father's day off-road outing. We had a total of 6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 13yo all the way down to 2yo the 2yo rode in a car seat. We rented three quad side-by-sides and our guide, Ty, rode in a 2 seater in front of us to lead us for the whole ride. WE. HAD. A. BLAST!! The check in process was easy. The equipment was ready for us when we showed up. Ty met us at the trucks as we were coming outside and explained everything to us and helped get everyone situated. We started out easy, getting to know the machines and how to operate them and how to shift and drive off road none of us had ever done it before and once Ty felt we had the hang of it a little, we went "exploring" a little more and we started hitting some trails. WOW is it beautiful at this park!! We saw trails that ran through forests, up and down mountainsides, through rockslides, in and out of valleys, across fields, and of course, TONS of mud puddles!! Ty made sure we were so comfortable and even though I managed to get myself lost at the back of the pack once and he came back and found me! he was amazing. He knocked it out of the park and took us on so many incredible trails and even told us some history about the park and the area.... just could not have asked for a better guide or a better day. The kids and the grownups! are still talking about how incredible today was, we will absolutely come back again, and 100% will request Ty as our guide again. Cannot say enough about how amazing our whole day was and how much fun we had!!!!
Let me start by saying, "YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!" We had, hands down, the best experience. Our tour guide was James, who was phenomenal. He made us feel comfortable and confident, and he made us feel like we were professionals. The experience itself is well worth it, but James made it even better! Be prepared to get dirty. We were covered in mud from the hair on our head to the swimming pool in our shoes. They do provide you with goggles. I highly recommend using them. This was just an experience of a lifetime, and we will always remember it. In fact, we will be doing it again as soon as possible, and we will be asking for James....I am sure the other tour guides are cool too, but I'll never know.
It was fun, but we brought our side by side/ranger, and the trails were a bit rough for that. Great place for atv, jeep and motorcycle riding tho!
I am camping in the tent section which is small but very clean and comfortable. There is a stream running through which can have a sulpher odor at times. Everything is rocky. Including the tent pads, although those do have smaller labels which makes for a smooth ship spot to pitch the tent. Staff is super awesome! I went 4x4 a little bit but worried about getting stuck somewhere and not have help there to pull me out. The easy ones I did go on were Hella fun! Fun place to go for adventure for sure!
This place is amazing to camp. There are 3 badge of honor trails in here. The Rubicon trail, fun run, and the snake. It took my group and I about 6 hours to do them all. They were great. If you can only choose 1, do the Rubicon trail. It is beautiful.
I've have owned a couple Jeeps and offroaded on/off since I was a teenager, mainly in TX. My wife, wanting a Wrangler since being a teenager, finally got one last year. We planned for the BoH trails. Veni, Vidi, Vici x3! HSOP was the most legit offRoad park I've been to. This place has trails for all levels of experience. It is clean and well marked. I pushed not only my wife and her rig to the uncomfortable limit but myself as well. Our trip was planned over a 3 day weekend. We are considering camping on site and making it a week long trip next visit. Wanted to add- The bathrooms/showers were quite clean. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We ordered a particular shirt they were out of and offered to ship it to our home. And a solid mention- the number of air-up stations was great. Can't wait to be back!
We had a great time today exploring the area with our family and our guide Ty. The equipment was well taken care of and it treated us very well. Ty was great at explaining what we needed to know and how to do it and showed us around the property. My boys had a great time getting muddy and wet. We highly recommend visiting and make you you ask for Ty.
